When I started Pandora a year ago it was with a partner, Potius.

He was the best scripter / idea maker I had found out in the RUNUO community. He has common sense, whit, ideas and some mad skills.

Pandora was the first ever free shard to have Stygian Abyss, it was the first because no one could break the codes for Stygian Abyss, there was no support for it, it was all by brainstorming and creating.

He was the first one to script a Gargoyle on a free UO Shard, and I was lucky enough to have him on Pandora. That's why Pandora took off.  

After Pandora hit #1 fastest growing shard in world, he had to leave due to work at his company and taking over the family business etc.

We been through I feel like a hand full of devs, nice people, decent scripters, but they come and go. Most cannot handle what it really takes to script a shard like this, they get frustrated or busy irl and leave. But I have been here since day 1.


Well long story short, Potius has squared away himself in real life and he is back on Pandora. He is the one who I felt he gave breath to Pandora, I kept it alive, and now he's going pump it full of oxygen and a more complete soul.

Were bringing the community back, we want ideas, brainstorming, get everyone involved to push Pandora back on top where no one can touch us.

Welcome Potius and thanks again my friend. Give him a warm welcome, you will see him around the shard, he is a admin. He can do anything I can do.

I Rarely hire staff because I don't trust anyone because people try to burn you all the time on this game, we've been through a few depressions together here so you understand. He comes back from 6+ months and I put him Admin status right away, just so you know I am not messing around.

You can now craft Mana potions through Alchemy using a new reg called "Sea Moss" that you can buy from mage and alchemist vendors.

They have delays, but please let me know will work best for Pandora as far as delays go and I will change them.


Also added Oceanic Sandals & Robe of the Sea

Oceanic Series.

-- There is a new decoration series called the "Oceanic Series" you buy these items with
'Pandora Oceanic Coins' which you get by turning in 'Big Fish' you get from fishing. 1 Big Fish = 1 Oceanic Pandora Coin.

- This is a whole new currency that I will keep adding too much like the Pandora Coins.

- Fishing powerscrolls will now drop on champ spawns.

- Use the moongate >> Pandora >> Oceanic to access the Fish exchange and the store.


- I will be adding more non deco stuff as we go.

January 2011 Update

-- CARPET WEAVING! --

 Find the weaver in the Ter Mur shops to buy supplies, uses skill tailoring. Create cool Carpets & Rugs!

-- DESTROYABLE WALLS --

 You will start to see stone walls in the way of paths, entrances, etc. Go into war mode, attack it to break it down and continue your journy.
But beware! Sometimes the walls build back up quickly, get you and your party through! These will be added slowely over course of time.

-- HEALING FAIRY --

 These will be spawned throught out Ilishinar tomorrow (1/16/2011) - You collect jars to collect the Fairy by mining them up. Double click the
jar to catch the fairy. To let the fairy out to heal you once, or to res you, double click it again.

--TELL-A-FRIEND SYSTEM --

When you are a new player, you can put another players account name in for referring you, and they will get a blessed 125 luck half-apron. So it will
give you guys incentive to do it. If you guys do it, and it's working fine I will make it a much better reward. The accounts must be 48 hours old to claim the prize, it will automatically
go into your bank box.

-- NEW DONATION ITEMS --

Some new shrouds, awesome shrouds actually, but not cheap. PM me with more ideas.

Non donators accounts will now take longer to decay

I have not left the computer for 15 hours straight.

I have narrowed it down to corrupt items.bin in the save and for some reason not allowing anyone to connect.

This is the biggest problem Pandora has ever hand and the longest it's been down. hang tight. I am working really hard, worst day of my life.

Do not patch up through 708 / 709 on your UO patch -- UO's new update 'High Seas' have made a block for free shards, you won't be able to log in.

I want to retract my last post, Gizmo had nothing to do with this, but he stepped up and he is on Pandora right now fixing saves and everything Police aka Fire n Ice did --

Sit Tight folks

As most you know we had to do between a 30 hour and 1 week revert. Not a huge deal in the scheme of things, but I was a player once and know how hard it is to work, and I think I took care of most of you.

Police and Gizmo got access to a GM account last night and literally destroyed server... So you guys want to make rumors about me, well I have had your back from day one, I created this shard and I have been here everyday the whole time. So you can see what kind of people my old staff was and why they are no longer here. But server is back to normal now.

I am so sorry about this small revert, some will be happy some won't be, but I promise you we will forget about it tomorrow.

This has never happened in a year of Pandora and will never happen again. Like I said I was heartbroken by it, just being betrayed.

Some of you been saying weird stuff has been happening lately? That's why. (Armor deleted, muffins in pack, houses dropping) All little slow stuff to take down shard because they got jealous when they started their own.

If you notice in the moongates under Pandora tab there is now a land mass just for player vendors. It is old Magincia / Trammel side. -- I have made the spaces town houses, and you rent them out and it costs you per week, and you have people pay you to put their vendors there.

It is a work in progress, but I have a feeling soon the place will be filled up with vendors, and I will keep adding town houses as it grows

Contact that person who's name is on the sign to rent a vendor from them.

We got a new professional dev on board, who has worked on UO / Scripting for the better part of a decade.

A lot of new things and updates are coming. I am really excited to have him on board and so should you guys -- we will keep you posted.

Farming Pandora coins on multiple accounts is Illegal.

I have caught about 8 people doing it this week.

It's very easy for me to catch you.

Those stones are a privileged to allow you a good reward for voting for Pandora.

- We got rid of the Yard system, they were causing most of the server crashes and a lot of other bugs with them. Some of you will have to go to your house and place new stairs out front. This will give us Much Much more stability.
- Lesser Treasures of Tokuno can only be obtained inside the Fan Dancer Dojo & Yomotsu Mines now.
- Reds should be able recall / sacred journy / gate to all areas now.
- Bone, Daemon Bone, Fertile Dirt all weigh .5 instead of 1 stone each.

- Taming bods are up and working again
- Fixed bug with Blacksmith Bods
- Housing now will decay if you have more than 1 house, It's up to you double click sign / open door to refresh it. Will take around 2 months for a house to fall if not refreshed.
- Removed PVP Skulls (kind of annoying?)
- Turned off broadcast of kills
- Robe of the Sand is more rare.
- Harrower should drop proper stat scrolls now
- the spell Wither has a changed a little bit
