I see there's Corridor Sprint back but, was wondering are we getting Doom Colosseum and The Maze ever back? Those were the ones everyone loved.

I've published them all again, enjoy!

- Battle System will be restored to full functionality.

- Lots of background fixes, tweaks and changes.

(I'll let Noll write this one up, since he made most of the changes!)

You guys should put these screeshots in the gallery!

Seems Mr. Screenshot is making more appearances these days, haha.

Looking at your screenshot, it seems to me that you are not receiving all of the packets that get sent to your client.

This is possibly an ISP issue.

You are the only player that has had so many persistent issues since they have joined.

Something hardware related might be causing packet-loss too, if you have an older router or network card in your computer, then that could also cause packet-loss.
If you have tight firewall restrictions, or any sort of DDoS protection (both at home, or your ISP), then that may also cause packet-loss.

I would say at least 50% of the issues you've ever had playing here are not related to any of our services, you need to investigate elsewhere.

He's a bit of a legend around here;
http://www.pandorauo.com/community/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;pic=100

I released him from his bonds on Brit Bank roof some time ago, he was very thankful and decided to follow me to my home in Malas where I proceeded to feed him the odd corpse of unfortunate players.

One day, I went downstairs to find my doors wide open and he was gone.

Since that time, citizens have been tracking him and reporting his activities to me from time to time.

If he ever causes anyone any trouble, err, he likes fresh corpses? Yeah...

Yes, it has been known that the assistants can cause unexpected client issues, including crashes, disconnects, mouse failures, packet loss, etc.

A lot of it is due to the fact that the assistants read and write the client's memory as it is running - doing this is never safe, the code itself is officially called "unsafe" code because of it's implementation.

Sometimes it's better to let an application crash out than it is to simply handle an exception and continue processing.

Sounds possible, do we have FillableContainers Noll?
(They automatically fill themselves with loot every N minutes)

Shard Changes / Razor Updates
February 24, 2014, 06:06:06 PM
Some of you may already be aware, but if you aren't you probably are if you've read this threads' title.

Razor has been updated by Mark to support the latest client, this means that it is still a viable alternative to UOSteam for those of you who prefer it!

Furthermore, Mark has also given Pandora an opportunity to appear on Razors' default distribution shard list, which means that Pandora will show up in the server selection by default when people install it!

With that, I would expect at least a few new faces around these parts, so keep your eyes peeled and greet our guests with the common courtesy that this community is known for!

Many thanks to Mark for his support and continued development of the RunUO server software, without which, our world would not exist.

Long live Pandora, Long live the King :)

It doesn't work like how you think it works :P

It's all random chance, based on soft caps. Each individual item is subject to it's own chance to drop.

Backpack locations have nothing to do with loot rarity or chance :P

Shard Changes / Re: Publish 49.7 [PENDING]

I've increased the bait chance to 25% and the charges to 10, I've also increased the range on the Oracle to make it easier and upgraded it to 10 charges.

Charybdis will be stronger and hit harder now, will have more HP, not a massive amount more though.
Charybdis will also have a chance to drop a golden metal treasure chest of a level between 2 and 5.

Going to try to add other loot to compensate for the gold rain not working on water :)

Changes - Publish 49.7
15th JAN, 2014

+ General

- Fixed an issue with overlapping houses on placement.
- Revised Medusa and changed the combat mechanics; she can now turn players to stone as well as pets and will do any of her special attacks faster as she loses health.
- Character name verification on login now uses an input gump with a random name suggestion when detecting duplicate names.
- Imbuable slayers that used White Pearls as a resource will now use Black Pearl or another appropriate resource.
- Fixed an issue that prevented Charybdis from spawning tentacles.
- Added Pyrotechnics crafting.

+ Technical

- Fixed an inherent issue with range checks falling short by a factor of 1.
- Fixed an issue with a specific property that prevents new PvP battles being created.
- Wireframes (currently used in vehicles) now implement more accurate collision detection.
- Fixed an issue with world-top-surface detection.

- More to come...

Thank you for installing a speed-hack detection. Has this been tested?

Yes, it's pretty solid this time.
It no longer has anything to do with how many steps you take, so it shouldn't interfere with movement - unless you're *actually* speed-hacking.
We have a different way to detect it now which is more reliable, though I won't say how it's done.

( It's got nothing to do with counting steps or invading the client or anything that would breech privacy - it's all done server-side for those of you who may feel paranoid about my lack of an explanation :P )
