30mill ???
I was wondering the price, because today everyone wears one, what was once rare looks now common... But 30 mill ?? What's the price of a robe of the sand these days ?
(dont want to sound rude, I'm really curious)

The last robes I saw were around 6 mil I think, but of course people will get whatever price they think they can get for them.....Nigel

they are given out weekly so yes they are kind of common for people that have been playing for a long time but for the past few months only about 8 players have gotten them.

Your Old Lady
Dway
Ladibug
Silent
Drakania (might of spelled that wrong)
Enre
Cupcake
Tyrone

I think that's it since I started  PvP'n again. Anyways when only those few people join battles they kinda set the bar. I'm sure older players have xtra but yes I have seen them sell for 30 mill. I've also had ppl ask if I'd go lower because IF your lucky to get that many PvP coins it would cost 20 mill. It's 2k PvP coins on the vendor and PvP coins sell for 10k each but getting that many would take longer then getting 30 mill. I have went as low as 25 mill or as I said I would trade for items. I always work things out with people ( I have given away necklaces to new players  that joined my guild)

anyways that's  my reasoning for asking so much

2k pvp coins ?

Sorry I thought every 3 first people on the PVP ladder got them every week, instead of 1/month(I think) when it was introduced.
So my reasoning was, 3/week is 12 a month, seeing the shard population there should enough neckies for everyone since its season 70/80(again if I remember correctly)

But if you have to get 2k pvp coins then yeah I guess the price is correct

Now it's the top 2 every week and it resets sunday evenings at 8 pm EST.

Still to often if you ask me considering our current population but hey I'm not complaining since I usually get one each week :P

To be honest, I didn't know they were available like this, I thought it was only by paying the pvp coins that you got them.

104 battle necklaces handed out freely in a years time and the fact that they can be purchased by other means seems that 30mil seems really over priced.

I do not know how often they drop but I am guessing that two Robes of the Sand, Stormgrips, or other high end items per week is probably unlikely yet they sell for 6-10mil.   It seems to me that the only reason the value on Battle necklace is so high is because it is a market controlled by an elite minority of the shard.

I am not saying that your pvp skills and win history do not justify special prizes or being able to set the price on those items, but when looking at the big picture I feel that 20mil is probably a very fair price for both the buyer and seller.  It doesn't seem to be a matter of supply and demand but more of a monopoly on the supply.

With all that being said if buyers are willing to pay the 30mil price tag, it is hardly your fault for charging what they will pay.

If you think the robe of sand or battles necklaces are scarce, try to Find the "Spear of Kathooloo".
In almost 4 years here Ive managed to find it just one time and never met anyone else that has ever found one.  I wonder what price it would sell for?.....Nigel

Is it colored?   I am gonna have to check my box of named weapons and see if I have one.  I usually associate most named items as worthless minor artifacts and box them up.

I've  seen the spear and I had 1 in my old castle. I had to buy it tho. So yes that is a very rare item to Nigel. Not sure what that would sell for actually. The Spear is a dark blueish and its named.

Also I said I would work with people if you felt 30 mill was to high. I said that's what I sen it sell for. Also again getting 20-30 mill is ALOT easier then getting 2k PvP coins. I PvP almost daily (except when  I go away on the weekends) and I have yet to spend a coin since I started doing battles again (something like 2-3 months) and I have 720 coins.

Also controlling the market was our idea months ago so that we could set the price. Everyone  on that list except 1 is in my guild. We are trying to promote PvP by making everyone WANT to take us down. The only reason I am saying this is it's been going on for long enough. TAKE DOWN THE TYRANTS.  :P

( I'm jus  playing wit ya all, if you wanna pay 20-25 and got items to trade hit me up)

I really don't have a problem spending the 30mil for it if I find a buyer for pbucks who pays decent prices.   If pbucks go for 5mil then $6 for a battle necklace is fine with me.   Just making gold in game is not fast for me.   I need to figure out how to farm gold effectively.  It just surprises me how inflated the price is for an item that is not that truely rare.

the spear is so rare because it doesn't spawn any more... as far as I know.. however im lucky enough to have one aswell..  :P no bragg'n well kinda.. 8)

I was unaware it didn't spawn anymore :(

I pay 4 mill for pbucks any day, also Your Old Lady pays 4 also. Some of the russians pay 7 mill for them but their out their mind. Rare, not really, but killing us enough all week to get points? Unlikely  ;)

No bragg'n well kinda  8)

I also heard Your Old Lady sucks in battles so you got a shot of killing him. I mean he lost to chicken yesterday so anything is possible  :P :P

I will volunteer to be the poster child for bad pvp, although I am not sure the rest of you would like to set the bar that low.

But I plan to join more battles and learn as much as I can.

Balinor you said my point... I feel like this is not a scarce item, but a controlled one...

And I get that you "only" need to PVP to get it, but... I was bad before when I had average HP, now people have more than twice my health lol.
I wouldnt pvp anyway, with that crappy connection I currently have :D

PvP in the 1v1 only take about 5 to 10 minutes from start to finish.  Even if you loose you get a coin.  Yesterday I joined with my mule who didn't even have a weapon cause I didn't wanna log out and back in on my main.

Free Coin worth 10k+ for 5 minutes of time is worth it to me.

The dailypvp isn't part of  the battles. It breaks down like this.

Battles - you type [battles and can see the times. Even if no one joins you get a point and a coin. If you lose you get negative points tho. So say you lose your first battle. Your -1. You join a battle and no one is there. You will still not see your name because now you are at 0. Next battle you join no one is there. You are now at 1. You can check points anytime by typing [pvpranks   The first 2 each week get a necklace and 3-10 get 5 relics  that say what place you came in and what season it was. I think i covered all of that.

DailyPvP - you type [dailytopten and i think it gets changed weekly but not sure what day. Also if your the only one there no coin no points.

Battles are way better just watch because some people (myself included) wait to see who joins then goes

That explains why I couldn't find a coin in my gardeners backpack, no one else joined the daily.

Do the points carry over from one week to another or do you start fresh.  I noticed that I lost points the last time and I was surprised that I had any to loose.

The season points start over every week. There is also a total point count as well that doesn't start over.
I believe it lets you go negative points. So you can always loose points.
As of now ctf is broken ( you loose a lot of points)
And 2v2 is broke (I believe that one just doesn't give any points)

Cool, tonight I will try a few different battles and see what they are like.  I think the only thing I've done so far is the FFA.

What healing is allowed in battles and daily.   In Noll's most recent event he talked about healing rules in pvp battles.   It left me a bit confused.

all healing and curing is allowed.
He was talking about a special gm event that he was going to do.

Giving my 2 cents here. Tbh Battle Necklace is worth like 100k, it's as easy to get as the blessed necklace from that quest, Amulet Of Righteousness I think it is? I gave like 5 battle necklaces away for free just because they were taking space and was so extremely easy to get, just have to join battles and wait a week for it to arrive, works like post office, 7 days arriving time. Also I don't get it why drop from 3 months to 1 week? Even a jackals collar or anything like that is 10000 times harder to get than the necklace and is useless, so you basically get the perfect neck piece for free by waiting a week, as free battle points, and not counted by kills anymore and which actually was why people actually joined battles and really wanted that was cos it was as I said, perfect neck piece, was worth the time and fighting and there actually was some epic racing with the points, and usually people had like 300-400 points, now the average points I see for the first rank is 10-25 and to me it seems like in the near future there are more battle necklaces than NPC's hold normal necklaces and leather gorgets or maybe there already is... Maybe delete the free points, make a battle season last 1-3months again and make them worth something again.

Happen to have any to sell?  If your prices are as fair as you state above I would like to buy 3 for me and the boys.
