I've got a Garg on Pandora, relatively new, which I am enjoying significantly. However, I've come across a rather confounding hurtle: physical resistance. I've scanned quite a few UO websites concerning basic armor for Gargs, such as plate, and all of them list the physical resist as *significantly* higher than what I find on the Garg NPC vendors.
I've run over to the New Player Dungeon and killed a bunch of Dragons, liches, and elder liches looted several pieces of gray to red Garg armor, and still the physical resist appears to be quite low. My total phys res. remains at 40%.
Can anyone here provide some guidance on obtaining incrementally better physical resistance? I am a melee character and this low physical resistance is quite a pain.
Best suggestion I can give you. Enhance and, or Imbue as needed. I know it's not fun but with no skill cap you can max out every skill in the game if you want. Let's face it you will need the crafting if you want to do it yourself. If not this then you might have to look around the Vendors for stuff.
There are quite a few mobs around you can kill with lower end resists.
Try to find someone that can imbue by asking in [c and let him tell you what he needs to get
your armor done. (or the basic stuff and how much gold extra) hunt for him untill you have a few decent pieces together. i think its not that expencive to imbue phys resist on armors.
This way you got a goal set, and you get to learn some people around pandora.
