Traditional NPC Quests.

Hiya Pandora,

I am a die hard quester.  I love the mechanics behind it and I think it also gives a great sense of body to the game.

I have noticed that though with the shard that a LOT of them are missing.  I know I have pestered the crap out of Kon for a few of them to be put in so I when I dont feel like doing another champ spawn or arcane circle then I can go do a few of those just for some giggles.  But as I said before I can see a lot of them missing.  Particularly the newer Ter-Mur types, which I have never done.

Is there an official way to request things like this.  I see the suggestions and ideas section but I dont think this belongs there. 

How can I go about requesting the NPC's inserted or even some truly original NPC Quest givers for some truly insane gear rewards.

I have done so before via PM to Kon but I know he is getting very tired of me filling up his Inbox...lol.  (Sorry Kon...I thankyou ...truly)

Could you link me each quest that is missing, so i can read about em, see if the npcs are implemented but not placed, or that i have to do it myself somehow =P

I will get onto it NollKoll.  Thankyou for the quick reply.  Kon put in Elwood McCarrin for me a while back.  I love that quest and it takes time and effort to do and the reward as simple as it is is worth it. 

Anyhow....I am guessing from what you asked that you want web links to view the NPC's quest chain and other info ...yes??  Or do you just need the NPC name and Location??

Depends.. if the quest is allready in, just need to place the npcs, i pretty much need npcs and locations for those npcs.. But if they aint, would like an nice link so i know what to script/search for that script/quest, or make a v v simular script/quest.

I will work my way through thsh list and find out which quests and npc's are missing aswell as their world co-ords so you can place them in the right rooms.  Will write again in a short while...gotta get my lil fella to bed.

well first off, just tell me which quests aint added.. Might be locations visible in the uoguide links, or that i can google em, for u to find each coord would far to much time.

This should get you started...I think there are a few things, ie: monsters that I ahve never seen in may travels in UO so it may need some more fine tuning once the NPC's are in I can work my way around and let you know which critters are missing and hopefully get em rammed in there. Also some of the quests are labelled Tier 1 and Tier 2 quests....I dont kow if they need to be specially laid in or if once the NPC is placed will automatically register the quests.

Alot of the newest quests havnt been added im afraid, i have tried looking around in the runuo forums, but seems noone is bothered? i dunno.. Or i have missed something.. I will take a look at a few other quests, see if i can make new ones.. If so.. Which would you like to see prioritized?

Quest: Shearing Knowledge.
We can only make smaller carpets.  I think this one lets you make carpet tiles so you can have large carpets of any size tile by tile.

If I can be of any assistance with implementing the quests I will be happy to help.  I am sure I understand that it requires some scripting, and typing up of things.  If you could be so kind as to email me a copy of the required file with the appropriate formatting as an example, I would be happy to do all the typing up and setting up required and then you just implement it into the system.

Just a follow up question.  I am working on xml spawner on a testshard I have built. 

This is to experiment with making up the quests that way.  Only issue is I cant make TerMur appear.  Anyhow....  I will continue tinkering with it and hopefully be able to work on a few of the quests. 

Will this cause havoc with Pandora server if I make them on my test shard and send them to be implemented???
