Tailor BOD Percentages

When you request a new BOD, the odds of getting a Large/Small BOD or a particular material (Cloth/Spined/etc), is different from OSI. I've been testing it here and it appears to follow the latest RunUO source code percentages.

RunUO uses different formulas than OSI, so stratics percentages are wrong here. From reading the source code, these are the numbers and formulas:

***Skill is based on your Real Skill. Although I don't know of any tailor skill boosts anyway****

                 Large Bod Info

Chance of Getting a Large BOD (must be at least 70.1 skill to receive)
( Skill - 40 ) / 3
  • At 70.1 = 10.01% chance
  • At 100 = 20% chance
  • At 120 = 26.67% chance

LBOD Cloth/Leather/Bone Set Percentage
All 14 Possibilities have an equal chance. 9 are cloth, 4 are leathers, 1 is bone.
Therefore: 64.3% are cloth, 28.6% are leather, 7.1% are bone.
Cloth Sets:
  • Farmer Set
  • Fisher Girl Set
  • Gypsy Set
  • Hat Set
  • Jester Set
  • Lady Set
  • Pirate Set
  • Town Crier Set
  • Wizard Set
Leather Sets:
  • Female Leather Set
  • Male Leather Set
  • Shoe Set
  • Studded Set
Bone Sets:
  • Bone Set

LBOD "Amount to make" Percentage
  • 10 - 25%
  • 15 - 25%
  • 20 - 50%

LBOD "items must be Exceptional" Percentage
Always 82.5% chance

LBOD Colored Percentage Regardless of Skill (***Only Leather/Bone Sets. Cloth are always cloth)
85.7421875% // Leather
12.5% // Spined
1.5625% // Horned
0.1953125%  // Barbed
**Since this only applies to 35.7% of the BODs (non-cloths), Spined for example, will be on 4.464% of all LBODs.

Small Bod Pants/Shirts/Shoes/Etc Percentage
*If you cannot craft with above 0% success (above 0% exceptional if exceptional), you cannot receive that bod and percentages change.  However, for any GM+ these should hold true:
*50% of Small BODs are cloth, 50% are Leather/Bones.
If Cloth, equal chance of these 29 items:
  • Skullcap,Bandana,Floppy Hat,Cap,Wide-brim Hat,
  • Straw Hat,Tall Straw Hat,Wizard's Hat,Bonnet,Feathered Hat,
  • Tricorne Hat,Jester Hat,Doublet,Shirt,Fancy Shirt,
  • Tunic,Surcoat,Plain Dress,Fancy Dress,Cloak,
  • Robe,Jester Suit,Short Pants,Long Pants,Kilt
  • Skirt,Body Sash,Half Apron,Full Apron
If Leather/Bones, equal chance of these 26 items:
  • Leather
    Gorget,Cap,Gloves,Arms,Legs,Chest
  • Studded
    Gorget,Gloves,Arms,Legs,Chest
  • Female Leather
    Leather Shorts,Skirt,Bustier,Studded Bustier,Studded Armor,Female Leather Armor
  • Bone
    Helm,Gloves,Arms,Legs,Chest
  • Shoes
    Boots,Thigh Boots,Shoes,Sandals
Small BOD "Amount to make" Percentage
At 0.1 to 50.0 Skill:
  • 10 - 50%
  • 15 - 25%
  • 20 - 25%
At 50.1 to 70.0 Skill:
  • 10 - 25%
  • 15 - 50%
  • 20 - 25%
Above 70.1 Skill:
  • 10 - 25%
  • 15 - 25%
  • 20 - 50%

Small BOD "items must be Exceptional" Percentage (70.1 skill minimum)
(Skill + 80) / 2
  • At 0.1 to 70.0 = 0%
  • At 70.1 =  75.05%
  • At 100 = 90%
  • At 120 = 100%

Small BOD Colored Percentage (must have at least 70.1 skill and minimum skill below)
85.7421875% // Leather
12.5% // Spined
1.5625% // Horned (80.0 minimum skill)
0.1953125%  // Barbed (99.0  minimum skill)
***If you would have gotten Horned but only have 78 skill, it retries until you get a valid one (Leather/Spined). Therefore percentages are a little different at 70.1 to 79.9 skill.

Just an idea, but by wearing a talisman with bonus and exceptional bonus increase these chances? I know it wouldnt be drastic or anything.

As I tried to emphasize with:
    ***Skill is based on your Real Skill. Although I don't know of any tailor skill boosts anyway****
all the skill checks/formulas above are based on 'Real Skill' not on skill affected by jewelry/spells/etc. However, there's no Tailor +X jewelry anyway. Discordance/Faction death may lower tailor real skill, but nothing raises it. Blacksmith Ancient Smith Hammers do not change 'Real Skill' either.

Talismans will have zero effect on any percentage/chance above. Also, you can't get a BOD for something you can't craft with above 0% success (or 0% exceptional if bod would be exceptional), and talisman bonuses are ignored for this too.  They only affect the physical success of making the items you are filling the BOD with.
