I don't suppose there's another easy fix for 'MISSING STRING' coming up for all options in left click menus?  Like when I click myself?  ???

Quote from: Emerist on May 04, 2013, 02:23:11 AMDid you go to settings > user options then under the legacy tab and check all four option to use legacy mode ? Grid view don't work right so everything seems to be gone but is all stacked in slot one. Once you check all four options and restart the client it should look like mine does in the screen shot and work fine.

Thank you - looks fine now!  :)

If people manage to get the EC working, logged-in, etc, I'm happy to modify the server code in order to reduce the amount of glitches that appear when using it. Most of them appear to be caused by differences in the packet structures for the two clients.

I managed to get logged in this time, but it glitched pretty bad right away so I'll put off using it for now.  Everything in my bag was missing except for my head slot armor.

I personally never cared for 3D on UO, but i never cared for everquest either, i like the old school look of UO....Nigel

I'll use both Classic and 3D probably, mostly to see all the artwork I missed.  I'll be in Classic most of the time.  I had the same reaction to EQ.  Played for a month and immediately went back to UO... and then SWG appeared and I just couldn't resist.  The force... it was too strong.

Yep, that did it.  Should've thought of that... derp.

I found this thread with some posts from people whose names I swear I recognize:

I think I recognize Nigel's old name too, somehow.  So hard to remember!  I'll keep looking.  :)

...and as I was typing this I suddenly remembered the name of the first person I ran into that helped me!  Her name was Saucy Wench.  How could I possible forget that name?! lol.

Hi - Is there a new version of these files?  When I click the executable it gives me an error window that says: "ARGGGHHHH!  Failed to start client!"

I recently helped fund Lord British's kickstarter campaign, which made me nostalgic... so now here I am, trying to remember how to play UO again.  Puttering around trying to re-figure things out and happy to see all the content I missed.

I used to be on the Napa Valley shard, beginning way back when UO started in 1997.  I think I quit just a little bit after boats and travel on water became available.  Alas, I can't remember my guild name anymore.  I used to be Kendra there, though.  I miss my tank mage.

My main goal at the moment is that I really want to build a custom house that's more than the size of postage stamp - so I'm trying to figure out how to make money here.  It's a bit of a slog.  I feel kind of shortbus about it, like there's probably obvious things I am missing.

I enjoy crafting and PvM.  Not a PvPer.  Scouting guilds to join at some point.

Say 'Hi' if you see me! :)
