-storage box no longer takes empty venom vials, to prevent a bug where you get a bunch of stacked, non-stackable vials

-Made the sand from Sandcrab a bit more random...BUT

-Made sandmining a bit better, seems like i forget about sand last harvest fix.


-Remade the chatpoints system a bit, you can buy points if you wish, a new player starts with 10points,
and if your under 6h of gametime, you will be told how to gain chatpoints even if not 0.
Also rephrased and re-worded the message you get when your out of points.
You can buy a deed with 10 chat points from a provisioner, as a mini gold sink.
The cap of 60 applies there, but by voting you can go as far as 100, but after 60 you gain only 1 point per vote.

-Poseidon and Stygian dragon got a key added to them

-Re-implemented the original formula for mana leech, and not the one thats used for servuu (for pvm), at a later date, i might bring in a special new imbue for weapons that only works in pvm perhaps.

Ancient Pandora Treasure Chest

- They will no longer drop 1 mil checks and Weapon Evgraving tool. I repeat no more 1 mil checks. The item you have the most chance to get if you roll tier 1 is a Super Charge Dye.

- Added some more deco from Donation Room into tier 1 roll on the Ancient Chest.

Remember you can find these rare chests by killing Tribal people in Eodon. You can purchase the key to unlock it in the Donation House or on a couple of monsters below...

Ancient Pandora Treasure Chest Key

- You can purchase them instantly in the donation store for cheap. But we understand some of you cannot donate at all. So the following Monsters have a pretty decent chance to drop a Key. This will give people a good market to farm and sell keys to other players, etc while spreading the love around the map.

T-rex, Greate Ape, Corgul, Osiredon, Medusa, Navrey nighteyes, Slasher, Dragon Turtle, Shimmering effusion, Dreadhorn, Lady Melisandre
The droprate of the key is roughly in between 1 to 4%, depending on the boss. Where a tougher boss, or the difficulty to either summon it, whatever it has a low respawn rate etc.



MISC.

- Enhanced Client has a new launcher from ServUO. I have not tested myself, but if some of you want to download and install the enhanced client, try using this launcher here: http://www.pandorauo.com/UOEnhancedLauncher.exe

- Removed the having to hue an item from the Donation House & Pandora Coin stones.

- Lowered prices of many of the ethereals in Pandora Coin Store

- Added Ethereal Tarantula to the Pandora Coin store & the Donation Store.

- Lowered Price of a few Ethereal Mounts in Donation Store.

- Lowered the prices of the robes on the Voting Stones

- Lowered the price of the +1 Pet Slot Statues on Voting Stones. (by a lot)

- Lowered Oceanic Sandals price at Oceanic Sea Docks (by a lot)

- Lowered Oceanic Robe price at Oceanic Sea Docks (by a lot)

PvM Arena:
-Added 2x hardcoded regions for the new PvM Arena (you will understand when you are there, but practictly a safe zone and a ... well.. battle zone)
Having them hardcoded, will allow me to have red players and whatnot in there, you cannot hurt another player nor a pet that is controlled (as long as its not yours)

-A Special creature teleporter, this is something you wont see or touch, but a quite advanced teleporter for creatures, which allows me section out creatures
in a way more special way, then the restrict tiles Pandora had around Luna before.
Instead of teleporting you out of the battle zone, it teleports the creature back into the battle zone, and i can set it so that it heals
a percentage of damage done, that it forgets who it was fighting, or skip the healing if it has less then 10% hp (and just might have fleed over the teleporter)

Why i have done this, will become alot more obvious when you see the new Arena, which will basicly only have those teleporters (which you cannot see anyway) and
a gate, plus the usual res gate and corpse stone. (Instead of roughly 2000 items total from building an arena from scratch)

i will still need to move all the spawners, so after the patch and im awake and avaialable, i will start with that asap.

Harvest system:
-Respawn times and amounts of resources aquired are now corresponding to what "OSI" got,
and made it "drop" the special items a bit easier, like fungi et.c. (But not too common)

But the life of a crafter should be alot easier now!

There is most likely alot more that could have been done to the harvest system as a whole, but that might be a future overhaul.

Misc:
- Alot of skills should be gainable to 125 now, some crafting skills or success/failure ratio gained skills might still be there, and a bit harder
to fix, but let me know if you cannot gain a skill past 120. (But please, try a bit before mentioning the skill)

-Fixed a bug where certain pets from donation store came with less stats stated on wiki, let me know if you have one of those pets, and ill fix it up for you!
(This is something that occured to pets bought in the recent month or 2)

- Made Tiering ALOT less troublesome. You get more xp now, and creatures above 50k hp, will net you more xp aswell. (So that killing a boss, will actually reward your gear better xp)
Ofcourse, i dont want to make it too easy for you, and it might be furthur edited in the future, after seeing how it works on the live server.

- Made the Lost Soul monster a bit more forgiving when your killing spawn around it, it will freeze spawn around it for a few times, then just once. (Incase
you killed some of the monsters, and new ones appear, they should still become frozen)

- Added donators sewing kit, cheap endless sewing kit, no bonuses, just endless. (Also fixed the donators shovel)

- You should be able to repair some of the equipment you couldnt before, let me know if you got a gear that you should be able to repair, but cant!

- Added Serpents nest (Still have to spawn them, but. They are another way of getting a medusa key, you can either stick your hand down
the hole, if you dare! or Charm a snake to do the bidding for you! (They will look like small ant holes, find  them outside and across the bridge from medusa altar)

- And yes, ive added snake charm flute, craftable under instruments.

-With all the snake love, here comes another thing. Empty venom vials... Silver serpents (freshly spawned) will spawn a shade whiter, these can be milkable of venom.
They can be crafted with glass blowing.

-Another formula (which is the freshest one from ServUO) for the mana leech on weapons. So your weapon should leech properly now.

- Fireball, magic arrow and harm have lesser amount of delay added to them, this will most likely be tweaked furthur ingame,
but a big thanks to Vorspire for trying to help me with a overheat system, but after thouroughly scripting and talking, such a system would be
too complex, and would eat too much resources (CPU Resources)




- Added a few items that will be in donation store, but also in another place.

Shroud/Robe hider crystal - This crystal while linked to your robe or shroud, will hide or unhide it with a double click (hide it completly!)
Fashion have never been more important than now!

Add 12 mana/hits/stam regen on quivers deed. (3 different deeds, you can not go above the imbue slot cap)

And the other place is...... drumroll....

The Soul Trader!
(Havnt decided where to place him yet, he might appear in random spots in the future, but for now, i will place him in the star room perhaps to start with?)

Finally a use for those lovely looking soul shards.
Apart from the 4 items above, (regen on quiver x3, and the shroud/robe hider)
There will be a few more items on him for sale.

-4 different bags with a stone table kit. (2x large stone tables, facing each direction, and 7 chairs)
Colored in Soul Red, Soul Blue, Soul Yellow & Soul Purple.
These are 4 colors that are not yet avaiable in the super pigment room by the way.
And these bags are sold seperately, but they contain a total of 9 pieces, ie 2 tables and 7 chairs.

-the soul of a crafter
This lifespan based item, allows you to use a repair deed regardless of location!
It's cheap, but lasts a week. You might like it as a deco obviously, but legends say that
there is a low chance upon it completing its life span, to leave a hallowed remains which have no use except for as deco!


- Soul Reroll deed of Power
This deed allows you, after feeding it with 1500 Powerscroll tokens, to reroll a infested powerscroll.
This can ofcourse, with a probability of less than 2%, to become the same skill. (It takes the scroll you want to reroll, destroys it and creates a new one)
Just so you have been warned! But the option is there atleast!
(Double click it while your having atleast 1500 PS Credits in your backpack, to fill it up, then double click it again to get a target cursor

- Soul Exchange deed of Power
With this deed, you can exchange the souls of 15 infested bosses, to get a new infested powerscroll. I wanted a way to make a way, to reduce the
frustration of the RNG factor, my first thought was a simple quest. But the lore behind it would be super cheesy, so i made it like this.
You dont need to buy the deed, then kill 15 infested bosses. The points are aquired whenever you got a chance of a infested powerscroll anyway.
(So hunting in a group will grant everyone that gets a powerscroll right, a point.) So if you forgot about it, you might have enough saved points
for several scrolls.. who knows.. But you need to buy more deeds.


You can find the trader in trammel side Star room, ive added a moongate in Tera.Keep, same way as its felucca side. The region is normal trammel region, so i guess warring guilds will still be able to attack each other.. so no area to afk i guess?




-Another thing i forgot to write down, due to me trying to categorize my changes.
The public chat system have been reworked!

I made it, so you need to vote, to be able to speak. Ofcourse this can be changed and tweaked in the future.
Every vote you do, gives you 3 "chat points", these chat points are only spent in the global chat.
So with 7? voting sites, it gives you 21 points total, which can be saved up to a total of 63 points total.
(If you dont speak, you can save upto 3 days worth)

Why?
Reduce: Shard Adverters, Spam, Hateful or idiotic speech.
And obviously to increase voting.
And a few more side effects, so that the market section on discord is used etc.
And a way to save the "chats" if you just login for a quicky that day. Unsure if i will increase the cap later on, or make it so above 60 points gives you 2 points per vote, and above 90 gives you 1 point. (To maintain your voting, incase you dont speak alot/often)..

End of patch, but there are several systems and areas that will get a overhaul in the future.

Certain spells and weapon abilities will be tweaked next, also fixing up the pvp score system, so it makes a bit more sense.
Will add more content, and stuff for players todo, like Sora the sorceress and whatnot.

Also Vorspire might help me include some skeleton foundation for some powerful bosses.

Also an idea to reduce the p2w factor furthur, is a special deed
which havnt been added yet, but on the idea stage.
Is one that adds a stat to a clothing, one stat at a time.
(a low droprate deed, and to make it less of a kick in the groin
to those that have supported the server and bought the stat on clothing)
There will be a special feature on it, it will have a chance on applying the stat, to
reset the clothings tier to 0, where you obviously need it to be Tier 5 to apply.
(Unsure of yet, exactly ratio, if it gets higher the closer to 6 you get)
But it will stack, up until 6 in that stat.

Shard Changes / First patch of 2017 (2017 - jan - 09)

-Made the lost soul (afk mob) alot easier to deal with. (Alot, and hopefully those that aint "afk" wont suffer from it)
-With various spelling errors and whatnot to that specific mob.
-Hopefully a fix for discordance gains
-A few skills that can be gained to 125 now.
-Being asleep should make you able to cast spells and attack now (was working "only for staff" before, so a lil statement had to be removed.
-Made a new infested creature, to counter the less drop in champ spawns (read below), ie will drop more mounds.
-Champ spawns wont spread the infestation as easily now, you can still infect, but it wont infect when damaging other champ spawns.

Shard Changes / Patch (Last patch for 2016....hopefully)

First of all, hope you had a lovely xmas!

Ok, here come to goodies, which includes no goodies!

-Removed the fixme for pets and skills (for now?)

-Loads of changes to the sleeping spell (both me and vors brewed this one, and loads of changes just means it works like it should do, walk,cast, hit slower etc.

-Removed any loss on pets upon ressurecting them (ie pets looses skills when it dies, this goes out for all pets, since narrowing out donation pets and those that had gotten 130% skills wassnt an option) .. so yay?

-Skillballs will also give you the correct skillcap aswelll (all of them)

-Re-forced the weapon abilities on blood leecher, since a certain player had issues with em, might work, otherwise that specific player need to check his uosteam =P

-Added some missing skills to the powerscroll table (poisoning for example)

-Reskill timer to 20 seconds (more tweaks will come to the pvp system, but not now)

-Improved pet heal potion (Gives a bonus depending on the creatures max hitpoints. But you lads 'n gals do know that the alchemy bonus gives a bonus to it aye?)

-Slight nerf to Mages damage, and their healing abilities with bandages, while holding a spellbook.
(the spell penetration is the same, the int. scaling of spells have been lowered a bit, but dont be alarmed, the scaling is still higher then osi standards)

-Some tweaks to a few debuffs/buffs

-a very special mob, you will be meeting soon ^^, It will give something strange, wonder the use of such item can be? (None now, but i might implement something funny for the item it drops later)


-a lil item for Noll to use, i just write it here to tease everyone

-Slight buff to Pandorian Tigers, giving them a bit more dex.

-NPC's will have the ordinary stat scaling when it comes to their intelligence and spell casting. When it comes to buffs that is! (No longer a mega mega mega blessing from a boss or npc that has alot of int)

-Some various tweaks to codes, none worth mentioning here.

Eodon Stealables + misc stuffs (Patch 3rd of december 2016)

Winterfest mobs/event are now live!

Find the Winterfest vendor in Luna! Kill the Christmas mobs on Ice Isle both Tram and Felucca (Felucca has more spawns)



-Eodon stealables

-Create food is faster now

-Loads of changes to mobs and bosses, mostly summarized that A) mobs in a champ spawn wont give you negative karma, B) certian mobs like satyrs are way less annoying in a spawn.. hopefully.. C) some bosses have gotten a nerf, like stygian and abyssal and trex, but charybdis have gotten a buff.

-Blade of the righteous have now got proper hit life leech

-Added support to talismans, to give out something to those that got hit the pvp wipe the worst, will be speaking to some of ya ingame later on ^^

-You can now have items upto 1b gold on a vendor, that is a item can be sold for upto 1b gold

-Added a new command, you will figure it out ^^,
-Added new fancy af stuff on equipped spellbooks.
-Playervendors now charge a maximum of 10k gold per day, if the house is commercial, or 30k if its non-commercial. (Apart from the decreased price per item, made by kon)

-a new update for my Spell Penetration, removed the armor ignoring (bonus damage) from weapon on hit attacks.
The spell itself from the weapon will still do more damage, if you got higher int, but will not include the armor ignoring part.
And you need to hold a spellbook to make your spells do this extra ignoring damage. What is spell penetration you ask? Well hold a spellbook, and you might understand it a bit better!
Oh no, was it a nerf you read? Well i have also remade pretty much all buffs/debuffs in the game, which will work on your intelligence aswell, or incase of a debuff, your int vs targets int. (or vice verse, if you get targeted by a debuff)
Intelligence will play alot bigger role, in the world of buffs/debuffs now, and hopefully i calculated a rather fair formula for each buff/debuff.
-Made it so lichlords and myrmidex creatures doesnt drop the deco if its in a champ spawn, shame on your king kong
-a few more creatures added to "Noll fixing king kongs mob" list
-Nunchaku weapon abilities will now work properly.
-Blood Leecher will soon be unirace, gotta do a lil command ingame after patch thought to properly fix it.

The Spell penetration issnt and will not be a attribute imbued on spellbooks, it's just viewed on spellbooks, and only when its equipped. Some of you got a little teaser in the form of a picture on discord.



Ok, the event!

It will last a few days, so no need to stress during the holiday for you yankies!
Hunt daemon turkeys in Yew!
They will drop a strange mixture of pies, Unicorn fish & turkey pie?... hmhmh.. Well its upto you to say if its a taste explosion in your mouth. (And there are obviously more pies out there)
The buff they give, are completly random, so the pies can be used as both decoration and/or consumables, which they will then work for 15 minutes.

Why hunt turkeys in Yew? Well ofcourse, the legend says that turkeys from Yew, is the crown Yew(el) of turkeys!


They spawn in a huuuuge area in yew, so happy running and hunting!

-Fix for argon bottles, had to use another art for em to be stackable.
-Also made it so both argon bottles and the bloodleecher requires no ingame command to get ultimatly fixed

Upcoming Events / Ghoul's & Goblin's Hallowed Madness

It's Finally Here!

You might have stumbled here, from wondering on how to access the area!
Well read on, and dont worry! (This is just a method, like semi forcing someone to read the user agreement)

Will start with a quick summary, and those that are interested, can continue to read on!


Summary
-Monsters-
-There will be 8 unique monsters, plus a boss. That all drop decorations/costumes/addons.
(each monster got a title, saying what it can drop)

-There will be 4 unique monsters, that DOES NOT DROP LOOT, but gives point to a certain "faction"
(Which is a competition, which will be explained in the full detail below, but you should read on it!)

-There are also hallowed monsters, and a few flaming skulls, in the dungeons largest room.

-There will also be evil clowns, they also DO NOT DROP LOOT, they are just evil
(but since humans are kinda stupid, there will be another competition for them, more info in the detailed explanation)


-Rules - Important!!-
The area will be the same rules as Eodon, but there will be a few exceptions.
PvP will be allowed, but dont overdo it! Had the same rules for the last 2 halloweens, and have worked great!
But yea, if in a argument, feel free to pvp. But do not overkill, or grief.
This is supposed to be a fun for all, so dont overcome a spawn with killing the opponent, or try steal something (especially from noobs)
But there will also be no looting of other players corpses. (you cant), so even if you die, you might not loose that deco you just found!


-Good to know & how to access!
Ok, just a few good stuff to know, then i will tell you how to access the dungeon!
Since there are 2 different factions inside, and evil creatures like clowns, a weapon with NO hit area effect can be of great use!
And to access the dungeon, go to umbra, either via public gate, or  the event gate in luna, and just say "ghouls & goblins" without capital letters (unsure if it matters) and without " ' " (example should be "ghouls & goblins", and not "Ghoul's & Goblin's" Do not gives those words away, if they ask, tell em to read the thread!



Full detals!

*******Main Competition*********

Ok, lets start with the competition!
You will be either factioning with the goblins, or the ghouls.
You are free to select "which team" you are in/hunting.

And ofcourse, after you kill one or two, you will understand how they work, and you can ALL select the same team, or change team after a while, its totally upto you!
These points can't be purchased, nor traded.

The top 5 collectors OF THE WINNING TEAM will get the Great Pumpkin addon, a preview of both the great pumpkin (and the dread spider addon, which a mob can rarely drop) can be previewed in the safe area/start zone of the dungeon.

The winning team, means that the side which has the most points, when the event ends. Lets say half of the players kills goblins, and kill so they got a total of 2000 points, and other half of players kill ghouls, so they got a total of 2300 points. The Goblin team, aka the "team" that killed ghouls during this event, will be the winning "team".  Wish to say that the loosing team gets jack, but everyone with atleast 20 points, will get a small statue (depending on team).
The grand winner, will get another great pumpkin, hued of his or hers choise. (winning team will also get a small statue)
The small statue will have the points and rank detailed in its name, for the top 5 players in each team.


*********Bonus competition********
if i were to qoute my favorite auther, terry pratchett here.

The evil clowns, after being told countless times on discord, that they drop nothing, and they are just pure evil.. Well they are.. But regardless, a small bonus competition is in its place, is it not?

Only one winner, send me a pm on the forums, telling me whatever i meant with the "12 shades of evil".
Dont pm/page/ask me what i could mean with it, or where the clowns are (who knows, i might have warded em from the dungeon, so you might not even see em!)
But yea, tell me the 12 shades of evil, in moderate detail, in a pm on the forums. First one that does it, wins!
(Since your not allowed to ask, i will make it so, if you make a false guess, another pm wont be accepted until a timeperiod of 23h have passed)
The reward is a small clown mask deco, with your name on it.


***The monsters - more detail!***

*Deco/Costume/Addon monsters*
The 8 monsters plus the boss, mentioned in the summary above, drops deco with a specific ratio.
Apart from the dread spider addon, darkness generator/colored darkness light sources and the costume mob, the mobs have a chance of dropping an even rarer version of the deco, which is one of my new "redyable items". These decorative items can be recolored by players, using a dyetub for cloths.
(Veteran reward tubs, normal dye tubs and metallic cloth dyetub for just mentioning some)
They can be identified with a orange red text below its name, saying that they are redyable with a dyetub!
(But they are very rare!)

The boss, have a much larger chance of dropping costume deeds (which comes in 2 varietys, normal and rare)
And a statue of the boss itself, also with the chance of being a redyable deco item!

The "lightsource" monster drops a darkness generator, but also with a lower chance, dropping a colored darkness lantern.

The "addon" monster has a very low chance of dropping the really cool dread spider statue, which can be seen in the entrance of the dungeon.

the "Costume" monster, got a low chance of dropping a deed for a random costume, but also a lower chance of dropping a random rare costume deed.


*Point mobs*
Each faction got 2 different mobs, works the exact same way, but one (the rarer) is worth 10 points.
Killing a normal 1 point goblin, rewards you with 1 point in the ghoul team, and minus 1 in the ghoul team.

Since it gives a negative in the opposing faction, its important to not go all out with hit area effect weapons, making aggro of all sort of monsters (I made the monsters passive, until attacked)

Just like the ones you find in the graveyard.

Try stay away from em!

No need to give a more detailed rules, explained it well above.
If you are getting griefed, feel free to take a screen of it. There will ofcourse be drama and fights, so to some level, you need to live with it!
But dont overdo it!

And no need to use the gate in Umbra, just mark a spot in umbra, and say "ghouls & goblins" and you will be teleported to the event area. (or if you fancy, just use the gate in luna, and say the words after)
This is just a way to make sure every player reads this!

-Added a few event mobs
-Added loads of new costumes, both common and rare.
-Added new type of pumpkin, green pumpkin! (Will be a rarer drop)
-Also added more pumpkin carving types, aswell as tripled the amount of hallowed dye tubs avaiable!
-Added a lil message, everytime you say "i wish to release this" or "i wish to unsecure this" to remind you, to use detect hidden. (Will remove the anti-hide deal in luna)
-Change to churchills warmace, you were able to use 3 special abilities with it before, now its the correct 2.
-Added a new sort of.. or type of deco.. Recolorable deco! You can use any dyetub that dyes clothing, to color the item! (No charges needed, but it will be rare!)
-plus a few other halloween addons



Also the Hallowed (automatic) halloween event is now live, find it in your local feluccian graveyard!

Upcoming Events / A Game of Memory (Possible UOSteam fix)

Usually have no issues with UOS.exe saying i got not enough memory for some strange reason, it pops up sometimes, then its fine for ages.. Today it was impossible to get my client running.. Googled a bit, and googled a bit more.. et.c. et.c..

For those that have a problem, use that!
(Worked for me atleast)

(its the "laa_2_0_4.zip" zip file)

Unzip it, open it up, and then find your uos.exe and client.exe and if you use razor aswell, target that aswell.

The basic mode works fine, so no need to go advanced. If you see on that page, the basic mode opens up a window with 1. select an Executible (Where you need to find  your client.exe and uos.exe, fastest way is to right client your shortcut of uosteam.exe and "open file location" or something like that, for client.exe, well try find your uodirectory, shouldnt be that hard, and find the client.exe!

Press the box for large adress aware flag
then commit! done!



did a test, seems to work well!

**Another update**
Hard coded some bits of the event, should run ALOT smoother now.
The levers will be active for roughly 15-20 seconds, before turning off again, and will take 0-5 seconds before it "kicks" in.. Just to reduce lag furthur.

Ok, managed to get all stuff running, might need some finishing touch tomorrow (gotta hit the bed)
Basicly, i made it start at 6pm EST give or take, if my timer works, there will be hourly warnings, and then after, there will be warnings every 15min, and 5min in advance (before points being taken), so 45,30,15,5 minute warning.

The hill: as shown in the picture, the aztec looking temple
lever 1: the fountain area near the hill
lever 2: the large area to the east of the "hill"
lever 3: South, South, South West of lever 2. (like 3-4 screens south, 1,5 screens west of lever 2)


Be in the main room at the top, inside the doorways when the timer reaches 0, bam, you get a point..
Wonder how much points after a long night fighting? Find the event npc, north of the luna bank gate! Stand near him and he will tell you how much points you got!

The levers will drain hits/stam/mana depending on lever, and how much points the player got, and the drain will affect everyone around the hill aswell, not only those in the little room ontop. (Do notice,  its no use to use them in the beginning, the drain in the beginning is quite weak, and if u got 0 points,  there will be no drain)

I will be checking teams and such, my reward idea is still legit i think, 6-10 decos total for the winners, plus a possible other goodie (decos can be choosen by the leader, and distributed among the team fairly)
(and less for the others)

Do not want to see Team A and Team B fighting togheter, and helping each other out, then at the end, they say they are 2 teams. So Team B can get second price... I will (and hopeuflly with help of king kong, get to know whos with who, so dont try!)

Ok, something new for you all.
Have been testing out some stuff, and managed to get it going pretty well.

Summary of event:
(Event will be taking place in a small area of Eoden, where i held my last years halloween event, for those that was there)

Every 30 or 60 minutes, a warning broadcast will be .. well.. broadcasted..  Saying you got X minutes left, until points are given.
During that time, a team, or a guild, or a solo player(s) will need to stand ontop of temple, in the 9x9 room ontop of that temple. (And you need to be alive to get the points). When the timer reaches zero, everyone ontop will recieve a point.


Possible side tasks: 1-4 Levers will be located somewhat nearby, guarded by a monster or monsters.  Pulling the 2-way lever will apply negative effects ontop or ontop+near the temple. Could be constantly poisoned every 3-10 seconds, or mana/stamina draining effects. This could open up some more tactics, both for attackers and defenders.

Main area around the temple, will have a zone that makes everyone grey, and killing some of the more powerful donation pets (including doni pets that resses)
And around the lever areas, a zone that makes everyone grey, and possible even the pet deal there aswell.


Unsure how i will give out the reward, due to it being a guild or team or possible solo pvp event, depending on players choise. (Since you wont get a point if your guarding a lever).
Possible reward outcome is that first place got 10 Deco pieces, and will be evenly distrubited to the winning team, where the player having the most points wins, so not an accumulated win.
(To make it fair that, a team having a leader, taking the points, while the others are securing the leaders position AND controlling the lever areas.)

Feel free to give feedback for the whole event as per, and if the lever things are something that i should include, and how the reward could possibly be best given out.

The event will run for the whole weekend, if i manage to get it going by then..  or for 2-3 days, depending on when i start it

So many spawns, but remade the whole system a bit.

No funky poofing of spawns (due to a "hidden" duration despawn timer)

Instead of a random spawn that pops in between 3-6 hours, which could end in having several spawns goign at the same time.

It will now work like this:
A spawn will be active (well most of the time)
When it is killed, there will be a low cooldown delay of roughly 10 minutes, let the corpses dissipear and let you loot, then a new spawn will be started!
So as i said, there will almost always be a spawn there, but sadly this new "model" is limited to 1 spawn only, gotta figure out a way to keep it like this, but let a player start a second spawn, or a third, or a fourth.


Will later on probably move the pvm event room to somewhere else, you will not notice much. (apart from a fresh place)
Reason is that the way it is built now, its way to much staff placed items and walls, and secret lil blockers of both pathway and line of sight. I'll try find a fitting area, which would reduce the need of walls and whatnot.

So yea, keep slaughtering in the PvM Event room! only way to make the broadcast from the spawners appear ^^

Well, let me actually get to the actual fact on whats getting a nerf.
Ranged weapons... Yupp, ripped that bandaid straight off..

but..but....but why?..... *cries*

Well, seeing that bows is the no1 choise of weapon, on a server which got all skills et.c.

Sure we can relate that players might only SEE the DPS, Damage advantages with a bow, but cannot see weapon balance in the game. Let me give you all this lil word game to make you understand a bit better!

Well, as you can see, its quite easy to find the damage, but balance is nowhere to be found..



But... all imbues and time spent into our ranged weapons?....


Well, dont worry.. They won't become useless, and yes you might have heard that word and meaning before, and shuns it.. Let me explain my idea.

First of all, pure damage will NOT get nerfed from a ranged weapon.

How it works today:
Accuracy with includes skills, skills difference and weapon attributes, plus opponents chance of parry and evade.. you all know that deal.

What i want to see, and probably will implement is that each ranged weapon, have its own unique "Hit Ratio"
Names are ofcourse not set in stone yet, but remember Hit Ratio for now.

Let say we give "the best" ranged weapons, a hit ratio of 80% or 0,8. That will mean, no matter what, you will miss ATLEAST 20% of the time.
So it will be Hit Ratio "check" first, then the ordinary "hit chance" check afterwards, like we got today.
So if you usually hit 95% of the time, you will first have a 20% chance of a miss, then if you do not miss, you will have a 95% to hit the target (76% probability of hitting the target)

The exact hit ratios for each ranged will ofcourse be balanced out, and compared with the weapons abilities and alot of other factors. But will open up a new market, for other ranged weapons, which wassnt so much saught after before, but now might have a better hit ratio, and in the end, improves the weapons DPS.



We want all weapons to be equally loved!

And to lick your wounds a bit, brought up an idea to king kong, regarding buff weapons again..
Then your thinking, heck, Noll is mad, first nerfing, then buffing..
The buff will first of all, go to melee.. With melee you need to go up close and personal afterall, but hear me out.

An idea that taking good care of a weapon, will improve its damage output.
Huh? you might ask yourself, im repairing my weapon!

Not exactly!

This is ofcourse another name that issnt set in stone, but lets call it "Sharpness" for now, which i know will not work for clubs et.c.
Having ZERO "sharpness" bonus on a weapon, will do nothing bad to your weapon, it will be like they are today!
But using a "sharpering stone" or something like that, will add raw base damage to a weapon, and depending on kind of sharpering stone and weapon, will have lesser or greater effects. The effect will wear off slightly, but will still last long enough to be of use.
This will bring some extra love to blacksmiths and miners and whatnot ingame, (is arms lore still a skill, or is it removed? then it could be used for this!)

There will be different kinds of sharpening stones ingame, perhaps the best drop from different bosses, which will offer a really big boost. The "dulling" of a weapon might be that, let say it will have a "sharpness durability" of 255, just like max of a weapon, where as long as its above 200, it does 100% bonus damage, then slightly falls off. until its completly gone.

This, we could balance in, other melee weapons, and make unused melee weapons, usable again. And perhaps save that sweet rare sharpening stone you got from a boss, when you want to win a PvP tournament, or just a PvP duel, and get that extra damage output.

Since it will be a base damage increase, it will not effect the max 300% damage increase cap or whatever it is.

And for ranged, could use a simular system, which will tighten the bowstring, increasing the Hit Ratio for simular time and fashion like a sharpening stone. (And will not increase base damage, but will increase the Hit ratio, and with that, the DPS)

Ok, rewards havnt been given yet, but
after checking the top 3 scores, for faulty pets and correct claimed amount of pets.

But
third place is split between Empati & 6 Feet Under, since this so rarely happends, ill let both get third price
second price is for Mesmerize, which means that 2pac wins! Congratz!

Pet event has ended! Counting begins, please post the amount of pets you have tamed in here, and after a few days when it seems like everyone has included their score, i will check and see so its the correct number.
Please tell me how many of each pet you have tamed, will make it alot easier for me. (Pretty sure i will have the normal pets as 1 point, and the other as 2 points).. Remember, only pets yourself have tamed counts!

Kinda hard to bring up a good name for this, but for the vets out there, it will work KINDA like the racoon event i had.. kinda! (will explain more)

When i work out all the kinks n stuff, i will say when it will start for real, but heres the deal:

A old almost extinct pet, like raging grizzle bears or ice steeds or rare ostards, might be some of em, might be all of em, and perhaps some random i do just for this event!

What i have in mind, is that one spawn per hour, on a random location, anywhere in the world, where upon a broadcast will go out, and say something like "A raging grizzle has spawned somewhere in lost lands - trammel"

The pets that will spawn, will all have a unique event title, which cannot be changed by players.
And the pets will also have extremly low taming skill required, so most players can join in.

The one that collects the most pets from this event, wins! Will work on some nice deco items, and possible a super donation dye for the winner, with 1 charge (which i hope will go to dye a pet, since i fixed the dyes emself, so you can do that now =P )

Rules:

-You MAY NOT trade pets, since i will take a look on whoever tamed it. (yes, there is a hidden property i can check)
-You MAY kill the pets someone else is taming, ofcourse you will be labeled a big huge douche, but its a competition! (Which means, you dont need to find it first, you need to find it, tame it and bag it before anyone else arrives!)
-You MAY place out fakes in the world, as in, naming a normal bear or whatever into "a raging grizzle bear IEVENTI" if the spawned bears are named "a raging grizzle bear [Event]", tactics folks, might work to slow the opponents down!

Feel free to post suggestions on which oldie pets you want to see again! (Ofcourse old donation pets wont be added)

edit 1: I will include shrink potions for everyone for a cheap price (a time limited shrink potion, not a single/multi charge one)

Got it up and running now, the spawning will be of a specific sequence, will write it up later on, but each spawn is up for an hour, before it dissipears (if noone tamed it), then it starts with the other spawn.
There is a few exceptions to the sequence, and that is the rare spawn of greater dragon and dreadmore (not nightmare). The greater dragon will spawn in either purplish or reddish form, and can have slightly better hp then the other ones, but just slightly.
The greater dragon will have a 33% chance of spawning upon the end of the normal sequence, otherwise it will restart, and the dreadmare will have a 33% chance of spawning AFTER the greater dragon.

Unsure of what kind of point system i will have for greater and dreadmare, if they were to be worth "more" points then the others.

But this is atleast certain, that you cannot buy yourself into victory this time, since i can see who tamed em.

Might make a map on roughly in which area they spawn in, but now im far too tired.

also, each pet got a low  taming skill, 30 for the regulars, and 80 for the rarer ones.

Also event is in trammel/tokuno/ter mur/malas (worth mentioning since the spawns can spawn in lost lands, which excists in 2 maps, ie trammel n fel...

and there will be only 1 pet up, at any time.. just to be clear

Shard Changes / Publish: Part 2 Time of Legends

Ok, listen up folks ^^, I'll just lay it all out here, and write some more info at the bottom of this post!



-Core edit, some fixes to regions.

-A long waited fix for the super donation dye, can no longer dye shrunk pets, and will tell the player upon trying, to unshrink the pet and dye the pet itself.
Even added a small easter egg to the item itself, as a compensation *g*

-Gone ... trough.... all...the...frig**n mobs ingame.. all... all.. Remade the loot chances for most of em, most of em got a better droprate, one or two got worse.. But dont worry!
Dropchances depends on:
-Difficulty
-Availability
-The need factor of the item? IE how good is the actual item.. Why have a one in a billion chance with something "meh", when you can get the better version in doom or infested doom or whatever.
Items will still be rare, i mean, whats the fun on getting it every time!


-I have also remade the imbue ingredient drop rates on all minichamps and renowned and.. yea.. you name it..
Luck will NOT improve that you get an imbue, but it WILL improve when it drops, then you will get a shot at a larger amount.

-Infested Peerless & Infested Doom, base droprate of infested has ever ever so slightly been increased, BUT luck plays a much larger factor, or plays a factor at all, depending if doom or peerless. Peerless have never used luck, but does it now. A good Midas dagger could be worth it now :3

-Varios small fixes, stackable argon bottles, just a tad longer health span.. (now you know the drill anyway)

-General Goods Vendor: Will be placed in the goldsink store, next to the universal repairdeed salesman. Will sell ingots, bag of reagents, hides, bandages, everyday items for your thrilling hunt or your less thrilling crafting! The pricerange will vary, from roughly 50% more expensive the normal npcs, to a few percent cheaper.. Check in every hour to find the best deals!

-Something regarding a quiver? hmmm... Here At Pandora, we want equality among the races, every so slightly damage boost with a bow, when having a quiver. (untested, will be balanced to balance all tha races in a happy equilibrium)

-Infested will have a lifespan of 2 hours, so no longer the need to clean for others, and having a easier life for young players. (Let's call it, that the monsters immunity system have learned how to deal with it?)

-All infested peerless, and none peerless peerless bosses, ie mega bosses that might not script wise be peerless, but is peerless on osi, or well.. hard to explain.. Have a chance of dropping infested peerless arties.

-Ever ever so tiny increase of 125% scrolls, not sure if it will do a change or not. (i like em really rare)

-a fix to boats! woop woop, thought i could manage to add in cannons and all crazy stuff Vorspire have added.*


-Turtles, dinos, tribes and all sort of time bending things added! Thanks kon for giving me templetes, they will most likely need a buff in the future, but thats what a real live testing is for!* Most mobs drop Pandora Coins!

-2 new armor sets, kinda... special.. Get em from the small wild turtle dragons or wild tigers! (Only drops from those with over a certain amount of HP, wonder how they get that? (hint:Its NOT infesting em!)
The armor sets might be replaced with other sets later on, AND more sets will be aded later*

-The Big bad Dragon Turtle champ! It has less attack damage and hp then other champs... hmm.. wait a minute?
(Complete with its spawn)
The champ will drop 120 powerscrolls, or even 125% powerscrolls if it has been infested. I managed to do a ducttape fix to it, since it will neither be in felucca nor ilshenar... And the special loot it will drop will be changed in the future, onlything special it drops now, is a item bless deed with a small chance of it dropping.* turtle pets will be added as fast as i can

-The Land of Eodos will be Felucca rules, will do a crude region at start, need to learn how to script a proper region first.*

-a special test mob has been added, check the games RNG status.. Will be activated whenever we can coord. it with king kong. (Will create lag, and i need some numbers from the console itself).. Might be that some RNG might be flawed.. who knows?..

*I will actually go to Thailand very soon, some well earned vacation perhaps? Been stressing with the bits of my Thesis, packing and fixing shizzles for the trip among other things, and getting it all togheter and making a super patch.. ugh...  well.. Rome wassnt built in one day!

But i got so so so so much more in mind with this area, and mobs.. Nowhere as near as cool as i want em, this could also mean they will be deadlier when im done with em, and not only with strength and hp obviously..




-Almost forgot, fix for the starting armor (purchased in the newbie dungeon) they are now imbuable. (Fixed this, (among ALOT of other things) for a long time ago, then i had my HDD crash *sigh*)

Ok, gotten a request todo a rare slasher event, never witnessed one in the actual slasher room myself, but i will take a guess on how its done, and perhaps make it even more awesome ^^, and add a few heart slashing valentine slashers aswell. Saturday night that is, which is roughly 5-6pm EST.


Also, i know there is alot of questions mark and annoyences out there.
And for those that did not know, im kinda in the end phase of the thesis im writing, so my irl is hell atm.

And yea, i had also a HDD crash, which set me back alot regarding a patch i was doing, which included alot of goodies (which i thought i'd patch before part 2 comes out)
But it included a variety of things, like increased dropchance of alot of things, especially infested peerless and infested doom.
But also ALOT of normal droprates aswell, where having a high luck would help you, even with getting more imbue resources! (but yea, alot of loot fixes where its needed, even though i got atm trouble finding the cause of the strange RNG runs, i.e. getting the same arti several times in a row.)

Also, there will be alot more infested artifacts in the future.. Just havnt got the time atm..

But im'a bake it in, with "my part" of the part 2, which i will hurry to do as fast as i can after im done with the corrections in my thesis.

From what i can see it, upon arrival of part 2, there will be mobs and lands, and the champion itself. (remember, we still need to spawn the mobs and stuff after its been patched in, but ill whip king kong into action if needed to stress it, and that the champ and mobs itself might not be 100% osi like, since i will put my own touch on the champion for example, and the various tribes in the lands.. Dont worry, just some cool abilities et.c.)

If the dragon turtle eggs n pets aint coming directly in part 2 arrival, i will try get it in asap, since it looks pretty sweet and i know there are various players that really wants em aswell!

The skill masteries i cannot promise anything about, since it is a tremendous amount of work, and there is v v little information regarding these abilties out now. But i will try get em into the game. But the main focus is the new lands, the mobs n champ.. And loot ofcourse ^^ (apart from dragon turtle eggs if it aint ready, it aint ready =P )


Also, need to do a poll regarding the new lands, trammel or felucca. (If its been stated somewhere in earlier notes, please tell me.. Since i think it kinda suxs to have a new cool champion spawn in trammel ruleset)

So we could either do whole area felucca or trammel ruleset (i would prefer fel) or just the champ area!

But that is a poll for a future thread ^^

Ok, sorry for the wait folks, xmas gifts, xmas ham n shizzles that needs to be dizzling.
This year it will be a somewhat ... simple? event.. Even though it has among the biggest droptables so far i ever done. (No, there wont be thousands of decos, you will understand later^^)

I did hint a few days ago ingame, and maybe forums? it will be slighly pokemon inspired.. Well, worry not if you havnt played it hehe.

You will meet "Simple" bosses, each with a hp of 5k hits. Which issnt huge. Sure there is a slim chance of one of  these creatures will counter your attacks and spells with poison.. so beware! (This is a anti-macro and anti-dull thingie)...

-Pokemon inspired you say? Why?
Well, to summon these monsters, you need  to walk in tall grass in the new arenas i have placed. Simple walk around, do it carefully if you do not want to anger more then 1! Then a wild x-mas monster appears, just like that!

There are 13 rooms, more or less the same. Same amount of spawns, just the grass is a tad different, but nothing that is better then the other room. Why 13 rooms?
Well, so everyone can team up with their friends ofcourse! Solo it, duo it, trio it.. Your choise!
Sure there might not be enough rooms if EVERYONE wanna go solo. But try share a bit.. IF IT COMES TO THAT! ^^,..

Otherwise, do not walk into a room if a player is there and wants to be alone, AND  there are vacant rooms.

Otherwise, simple rules but i do not want to see em bent in anyway!
-no afk macroing (the random rare poison counter mob, and walking in grass should stop a few macros i hope?)
-No PvP or greifing.. It's xmas for crying out loud, be happy ^^,

And ive built the "gate room" kinda like how the rooms are placed on the main map, open up the uo steams map, and you will see why the gates are located in the gate room like that.

This event will start very very shortly, it might even be running when you read it, just wanna test it out with a few players first, see that it works et.c. And will last to the beginning of January...ish..

Each room got 2 corpse stones and 2 healers, at the opposite walls.. (grass is in the middle).. Enjoy!
