I'm in the same boat with you I guess. 120 fishing and have yet to fish up a MIB or net or Tmap. I have more fish trophies than any one person needs and have had to buy most of my MIB in order to fish up any loot. Fishing was always my favorite part of ultima, it kinda sucks to work the skill all the way up and not have any of the fun stuff associated with it.

Carpenters do indeed craft the barrel lids and staves. a tinker needs to craft the rings that hold a barrel together. However these things create a keg for potions instead of a barrel. looks similar but is a bit smaller.

I've been wanting to come back to UO ever since I left to follow my friends into star wars galaxy, then stumbles into WOW. Hands down UO was always my favorite MMO. Theres just so much more content here than in many other games combined. I even tried starting my own shard before but just dont have the computer skills to keep one running. I'll be camping here for a long time.

My name is Dirk Kincaid, I'm a Pirate and Treasure hunter.  I have not played Ultima in about 10 years and still have to get my gamer legs back on. I am friendly and willing to help anyone out if you need a hand with something. I'm not big into pvp because frankly, I'm terrible at it.
