A few question about Tot

I'm new to UO and just started this shard. I've been interested in the Tot event since I started and finally went to tokuno yesterday. I was unable to get any artifacts so I looked on here and found out a few things. I just want to make sure I'm correct.

The artifacts appear in your bag not on the corpse.
The only place to find the artifacts are the mines and the dojo.
The artifacts are currently disabled for economic reasons.

If someone could verify this I would greatly appreciate it. If there is anything else I should know the info would be nice.

They do appear in your bag.  You can get them in the mines / dojo whenever the giant stones in front of both are GREEN.  You can get tots all over tokuno on Tuesdays no matter what the stone colors are.  The mines / dojo are pvp zone but tokuno is not.

You can get them all over the Tokuno land mass on Tuesdays, but the stones have to be green; meaning, the event must be active. This is the best way to get them, the dojo and mines are normally heavy pvp zones. As you're just starting out, I would advise against going there.

The Tokuno Landmass event starts on Tuesday, 12:00am Central Time. You can get them from killing almost any monster or animal. You can get them from killing birds and horses even. Although, the higher the fame of the monster, the higher the chance of a drop.

So I take it that the stones activating and deactivating is causing the 'Disabling ToT event' message?  I wondered what that was all about.
