I was on alot today cause it was my birthday, so I felt no need to feel guilty bout being on for so long...but I noticed ALOT of players abused global chat today and ultimately cause it to be disable. Kon does alot for this server and I highly doubt the first thing he wants to do is log on and and listen to a buch of scabs arguing over GC and making a joke out of it when he tries to contain it. Take it to PM if u wanna bitch or complain about another player doing something...repeated use of Global causes lag...and when the owner says to knock it off...JUST DO IT! The rest of us who respect the rules and devote our time to contrubute to Pandora don't need to have our EARNED privileges revoked due to neglection of the rules by the ignorance of the rules or flat out rebellion. Thank you!

This here be a map system I created in order to make fishing up MIBs/SoS's take less time and cause less headaches.

Incase image doesn't load click link: http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h129/Ssweet13/SOSmap.jpg

The map was created using UO Automap, so for those of you using UO Cartographer or do not use any type of mapping system at all, you may not find this useful. Please be sure you have UOAM installed and pointing to your Ultima Online directory folder located in Program Files in Windows Explorer.

Bear in mind I have never used UO Cartographer so I cannot confirm if this will be useful with the program.
------------------------------------------------------------------

I have marked 32 spots throughout the Trammel facet of Sosaria. For best results I recommend making copies of the two runebooks I have located on Dragon Island in the Isle of Lost Souls: Runebook Library (131,44'S-18,33'W) Books are outside on stone table.

If you have any issues finding it you can PM Synkara ingame for a rune.

-Save a copy of the above map and put a shortcut on your desktop
-Open MIB Map (Above)
-Open UO Auto Map
-Click on Map and select Full Map

-Type in coordinates of the Waterstained SOS in UOAM by right clicking your map and selecting Go To Location..then select Latitude/Longitude. Type coordinates in the box and select OK. Select OK again to return to map.
Next click on Places and select Drop or Pick Up Marker. If you already have a current marker you will need to do this twice before you can move on to the next step..otherwise you will have to retype in coordinates again.

-Now before you move your character, refer to your MIB map and see which number is closest to your destination. Recall to the spot and place a ship in the water. Sail to location and fish up your treasure.

For those of you looking for an even quicker method. Go ahead and donate or farm up 3000 Oceanic Coins so you can obtain a Magical Water Quiver of the Sea Horse. If your taming is GM or higher you can buy a Sea Horse and ride it on water. So all you will need to do is recall to number closest to your destination and simply run into the water and head towards your destination. This saves time by eliminating having to place a ship into the water, sailing to the location, and having to sail back to land to redock your ship.

I find it even faster to make a Restock Agent in Razor to only loot Gold, Pandora Coins, Gems, and nets. Set hotkey and target treasure chest.
If you are looking for reagents, scrolls, gear, or chests to collect...this is not recommended.

It never hurts to carry along a Portable Trash Basket in order to get rid of unwanted junk. You can get one by donating!

Hope t' see ye lubbers more active on the open seas!

General Discussion / Notice Anything?

Well since nobody else seems to want to bring it up, I might just as well do it. The MIB/SoS nerfs, the gold nerfs, the changes to mobs that make them twice as hard and more time consuming, the changes to mob drop rates, the decrease of active players (not counting afk gaters, multiclients, and afk mules) that put the population down to about 55-60 players at best, and most importantly a good number of veterans selling off all of their stuff including houses within Luna walls...it seems like Pandora is getting the short end of the stick in order to cater to the new Descendants server. I may be wrong, but I don't see how any of these changes in Publish 37 & 38 are supposed to have any sort of positive effect to bring in more players. Save the changes to Fishing (not including the MIB nerf) it really seems like the changes are swaying more towards pushing players out. It's even gotten to the point now where new players are having to depend on constant handouts from established players in order to even have a chance to get their foot in the door..and with alot of our established players jumping ship and/or quitting altogether..it's getting harder and harder for us to afford keeping the new players around long enough to enjoy the feeling of standing on their own two feet. Even normally restocked vendors in Luna are either being neglected or completely shut down altogether.

Don't get me wrong. I'm in it for the long haul with Pandora and even if the population drops down to 10-20 players, I'll still be here running with SOUL...but I really don't want to see it get that bad before somebody does something about it. Voting and word of mouth can only go so far. I just hope all of these changes aren't being made to slowly replace Pandora with Descendants, cause as a player who has been on all those other T2a/UOR based servers with custom rules...they are fun at the start but eventually get weeded out and the players always run somewhere else. Pandora is the greatest server out there today and it should most definately stay that way.

General Discussion / Changes to MIBs?
June 20, 2012, 08:34:22 PM
Noticed the MIBs are now pulling random chests varying from 8k gold-24k gold. Also the Drowned Pirates are no longer being fished up. Anywhere I can read the details on all these changes to fishing?
