good to know.

I've been using razor with no problems at all, but at least now if i encounter an issue I know to try UOsteam first before complaining about it :P

Quotewe can't remove LRC from the game simply because it is a part of so many things and we are too deep into how Pandora operates, but it does open that part of a brain for other similar ideas

That's understandable. If you like that line of thinking another idea is to remove or greatly reduce blessed items, so that insurance becomes more of a gold sink that everyone would use. Small change, no real effect on players gaming other than they have to pay more gold to die. Probably an increased rate of people forgetting to insure some items, which results in more gold being spent to replace them. (maybe not popular with players, but just an idea)

I'll post more as I think of them

General Discussion / Re: character builds

Yeah, thanks for the reply. I am starting to get a sense of the relative strength of critters throughout the world. I have been trying to do everything without taming since I like to be mobile and explore with my guildies but it seems i'll need to work that skill up if I want to have a chance at higher level stuff.

Been chatting with Noll in game a lot and he has been very helpful for getting me on board with the server's differences to others.

also, am I right in my assumption that monsters on this server are beefed up? Or are they just hitting so hard because i'm still in newbie gear?

so would it be safe to assume that no one runs without a pet, since you can fit taming into any build?

General Discussion / character builds
March 17, 2015, 08:20:15 PM
Hey just looking for some discussion on character builds and farming for noobs in general.

Wondering what kind of builds everyone runs with for PvE. I'm familiar with some classic powerful builds like the sampire, or the throwing whammy (my preferance), but i've never played a server with no skill point limit, so i'm curious to see what others are running here.

Also looking for some suggestions for a couple of new players to farm up some gold. It could be my imagination but it sure seems like creatures on this server hit a LOT harder than normal. I was 2 shot killed by an earth ele, for example, and anything tougher than that I cant stand toe to toe with or I die fast.

Thanks, loving the server so far and i'm working on getting the rest of my guildies moved over :)

General Discussion / Noble Sacrifice not working?
March 16, 2015, 07:34:22 PM
Hey just wondering if anyone can tell me why my chivalry spell Noble Sacrifice is not doing anything when I cast it.

My party member died, I cast noble sacrifice with her standing beside me, and it successfully casts, i get the spell effect of the blue stuff on my character... but thats it. She doesn't get to res.

I have a question as a new player and figure it will fit well here instead of starting a new thread.

With no cap on total skill points, is there any point in making multiple characters or do most people just train up all the skills on a character and switch out gear as needed... Or what?

I guess what im really asking is if there is any reason NOT to just train up all the magic and combat skills on a character... Kind of seems like the server would end up with a bunch of super characters running around making the content rather trivial.

Thanks.

Great, thanks!

Fel rules on ilshenar is a neat idea that I haven't seen elsewhere...  It's my favorite area to PvM in so that might actuallly tempt me into some PvP...

Does there tend to be a lot of PK's or griefers around in the fel rules farming spots or is it mostly duels and consensual stuff?

Battles & PVP / different rules in different areas?
March 14, 2015, 06:45:59 PM
Hi there, I'm new to the shard and am starting with a few friends, looking for a place to play long term and this shard is looking pretty cool so far.

I was just wondering, it seems there is a mix of areas that are trammel rules and felucca rules. Is there a complete list somewhere or could someone fill me in on the different areas and rules of this shard?

Thanks

One idea I recently saw on another shard was to remove LRC from the game. Regs become a steady gold sink that most characters will have to use on a regular basis.

Weekly taxes on houses is another idea i saw on a different server.

Im brand new to pandora though so I have no other suggestions until I play around in game for a bit :)
