There are many fantastic points made in this thread, especially made by Jags, Islander, and Ali.

Many in the community don't want to bother with BODS.  Myself included.  I feel like this change/test has already delivered its results.  JAGS is the BOD god and everyone is cool with that.  Now we have a dedicated crafter that has less reason to stay on our shard.  Changes like this make the game more insular. 

Further, several others on the shard have spoken out, that aren't nearly as established as Jags stating they aren't able to get anything worthwhile so why even bother with it. 

I like walking down the street and turning the corner to Jag's place.  He knows that Pandorians need hammers and value CBDs.  I know he sells and always has for a reasonable price and keeps his vendor stocked.  He wins, i win.  I'd tend to believe anything Ali, Jags, and Phero say on the matter of work involved.

Please reconsider the change.

The OP is about asking that drop rates be adjusted.  While there is a discussion further down the thread about anticipation of the new lands, or even changing things now until the new lands come out, they are ENTIRELY different conversations.

Quite simply one discussion about crystals doesnt include all topics concerning crystals, especially when certain things are dependent upon content we do not have.

Until we have patch notes for the new lands it isnt even worth discussing what may or may not be, but it is certainly an entirely separate and thread worthy topic.

Anyone who posts a suggested balance or game change should expect their idea to be assaulted from all sides.  It takes many minds to see things from all angles of perception.

People do things for all manner of reasons, can't be mad at someone for pointing out the worst of possibilities. 

This is why balance changes and loot drops should be seriously thought through, instant gratification is not the answer.

UO is and should remain a time consuming game.  Crystals, runic kits, relics, stealables, etc. should require effort in order to acquire.  EVERYTHING can not have a high drop rate.

Imbuing is a key aspect of the game, but a perfect suit is very much what all characters are striving for.  I put weeks if not months into my old suit, it was much slower in the past when relics and void orbs were the choke point.  It is now possible to spend an hour out in the field and imbue at least one piece at a time completely.  While you may know how personally Tys, and even quoted Tyrone to profess it so, why not post this "common" knowledge yourself?

This is not a difficult shard to prosper on with some research and actual play.  It is not healthy for the game for everyone to run around with the most powerful items obtained virtually free.  Although some things must change over time and balance revisited, constantly making things easier is not always the solution.

It is not healthy for the game if one can log in with a new character and be able to compete with long time veterans. New characters should expect that it takes time to be on par with long time players.  It is also not healthy for the game for crystals to be so abundant that some giving soul invites newer players into their guild, gives them all the best gear outside doom (easily attainable) and then imbues it up for them.

If i boot up any MMO today from UO to WoW to Eve i have an understanding that i can't play with my level max buddies until i put some time in.  This should remain the same.  You can already afk almost every skill to 120.  There has to be a grind somewhere, and that grind should remain on the upper echelon of items.

TLDR- believe it was broken on most items, so removed.

Just came back to the game after a lengthy layoff.  Looks like a lots changed.  Already seen some familier faces.  Hope to keep meeting new peeps.  Seems like there is more actives these days.

I would also like to see another game with dungeons and dragons online.  There is something about having 100% control of my character I always liked.

yeah comcast seems to do this every few months or so.  They are my only viable choice in the area unfortunately.  It has cleared up on Pandora for me quite a bit.

ive always been a fan of RTS games myself, warcraft and starcraft especially.

The wife and i used to play a lot of xbox live.  Mainly bf3 and borderlands..then borderlands 2.  Probably the last game to really grab my attention was dark souls.  It appeals to the stat head or min/maxxer in me..the pvp mechanics are solid but not as developed as id like.

I cant wait to see what they do with the next dragons dogma.  As someone who grew up on final fantasy and chrono trigger this game was truly the next iteration of where I have always wanted it to go..adventure wise. 

What if the blood drinker and various eaters were available as say 5-10 dollar donation items.

Property weight wouldn't need to be messed with but it would give you that one more little thing.

I know bows with 68 lightening or whatever hit way harder and more often.  Idk if it would balance or not.
