I announced it on shard, but I'll announce it here.
Summer time, yes many normal players get outside more so not on as much. BUT, on that same coin, the flip-side is that people get out of school and looking for games to play during the summer. So it's also an increase in brand new people logging in for the first time.
If you see someone ask a question (new or old) in global chat and you know the answers to it, take the 5 seconds and type the answer. Not only are you answering that question for the new player (which has a ton of benefits) but it is also an answer older players might like as they just haven't asked the question yet. But in turn they can answer more questions to others... The circle of life.
I have been running Pandora a long time... You wouldn't believe how many vets of 2-3 years even have said: "I stayed on Pandora that first day because you or someone else answered all my questions, that now as I look back were pretty newb of me."
You answering a question over global chat can honestly be the difference between someone playing 1 hour or 1 year.
Keep that in mind when you see someone ask something. Not to mention I really take notice to people who answer questions. Many of you have gotten a personal thank you PM from me and I jot everyone who does so down in Notepad... Working on some kind of special thing / reward for those players who grow the shard in the future.
This is the best advice I can give to my fellow citizens.
I stayed here (and on uo) because of someone saw i was new and gave me a tour. I later joined his guild, and although that guild isnt around anymore, im still here!
That is the same for me, guild and people no longer here, but I stayed...Nigel

He already won another competion :P
This needs an EDIT Button...
COMPETITION, that's the word... :(
There is an edit button, it looks like (http://pandorauo.com/Ultima/Themes/gearbox_20/images/icons/modify_inline.gif)
(Right-hand side of your posts) Except it says "modify" rather than "edit", can you not see it? If not, then 'll have to change some forum permissions around. :)

It's there now...
I've loosened up the permissions on the forums for members, you should be able to notice a few minor changes, you should be able to post polls, modify and remove your own posts, etc.
Do not think that another player will answer the question, even if your hunting, try to remember the question ,or atleast the name of the person asking. The recent new folks that has joined, has often said its a very friendly server. And if i was a new player, asking questions, seeing my question answered 5-10 times would not hurt, quite the opposite.. He/She would only see alot of folks that are friendly and helpful.
