Ok! I'm laughing over here because it's a little comical when you sneak up on a  mob with an assassin spike and tell him, abruptly, 'I used to have a knee but then I took an arrow to the knee!'-- then get a fireball to the face.

lol Thanks!

This is temporary, right? Something for April Fool's?

Quote from: "Tommy Boy"Regardless of the mage bias or the illogical reasoning about reagents, tithing and LRC, it's FREE to train Magery but costs tens of thousands of gold to train Chivalry as a result of this change.

So tailors should also have Lower Cloth Count and Lower Leather Count jewels since that's biased too? How about Ingot Regeneration 2, Copper Ingot Increase 8 on a tinker ring? Faster Crafting 1/Craft Recovery 3? Sure, they are crafters but also part of this 'mage bias'.  Just saying not everything is the same nor should it be.

Gold drops were increased. Is 20k gold hard to get?

You can get three or four times that with half an hour of hunting.

Quote from: "Tommy Boy"I'm new here but this is lame.

Quote- Fixed a bug where Lower Regant Cost was counting for Tithing points, when really it has nothing to do with regs.

This is not a bug.  It's been this way as intended since Chivalry was introduced.

It's the way it is on official servers and on every other server I've ever played.

Just because it's tithing points doesn't mean it makes any more or less sense than LRC for reagents.  You use gold to buy reagents and you use gold to buy tithing points.  How is there a difference?

It's nothing but a dexxer nerf.  Mages don't have to spend anything to cast but dexxers do.  Now that makes no sense.

Tommy Boy

It makes sense to me because it's like being cheap on your religion, whatever it may be.

In history, 'tithing' is about donating to a temple so that there is money to operate it and also so there is something it can give back to it's community.

That is a lot different than what mages and necro's do, ideally, and I feel like it's that way on the official servers because Richard Garriot isn't running things; he would keep things in a perspective that would make sense. OSI just kinda slops their publishes now that Origin is gone and EA itself took over.

Interesting thesis, Des Sanct. I'm not clear why the changes took place but on the PVE side of things I took a new character to do the New Haven quests. Just something different to do for the blessed trinkets and to make some new books. Surprisingly, to me, people actually use these books often.

I wore new runic plate but was still taking over 23 damage from zombies and skeletons but delivered almost nothing in return. It reminded me of OSI when we would train healing, in large groups, in Ilshenar. We would drag a rotting corpse to the shrine and beat it for hours while everyone GM'ed their heal.

I'm not saying this to knock anything done in-world. It was quite interesting but it made me wonder how much more interesting it would be if the creatures had a greater AI and even used some of the gear they were carrying. Maybe gazers and elder gazers having anti-magic abilities and so forth (ie. AD&D beholders). I'm thinking intelligent undead would be a little creepier if they tried to kite a player into a waiting mob of wailing and hungry zombies. Or even dragons summoning help. Something believable, I mean, and make the adventurer think, laugh, and even go into a nerd rage at times. Nerd rages are awesome!

I think the idea is so that a player cannot earn a month's worth of gold in the matter of a few hours, not to mention the Level 6 chests.

Yeah, so, it's been a while since I had one and it's not anyone's fault. Still, I had a great day today.

+1 to the friends I've made here.

Thank you  :D
