wow thank you. lol...so simple but it really helped me out.

So i'm at the very beginning trying to figure out how to get my strength trained up. I've learned "arms lore" and "swordmanship" but my strength is too low to use any attacks.  Every time I try to use my dagger on a training elemental it says "you can't use a bladed item on that".  It also says the exact same thing when I to use it on a mongbat or a skeleton. Any takers?
P.S. I'm also having chat problems.  How do I send an in game message on the public chat? Meaning not just a message that appears above my head and can only be seen by those directly around me.

I am a complete newbie.  I just started and don't know how to do anything.  How do I use my spells? How do I hotkey them? Where do I go to find quests? If you can help my newb butt with some general info that would be appreciated.
