Crafting question

Just a quick question.  Is there a reason that when I make a piece of armor or shield and the crafting gump says that it was exceptional and holds the makers mark but the piece does not say exceptional?  I have checked the marking options and they are set to mark the item.

I honestly can't say I've heard that one. I have no problems with my crafter.

Do you have GM or better in the skill in question. I seem to remember something about it not marking below that, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, I'm at 115 blacksmith and 100 arms lore.  Weapons say exceptional without issue.

I believe that if f it has your name on it, it's exceptional.  Items lower than exceptional do not get a makers mark.

Ive had the same issue with the journal entry saying exceptional but the item itself not making a reference.

Things to note:
I am not GM
The item that I can remember doing this was female plate chest.

It took me a while to fill a BOD because I was watching the journal and not the item.  In other words I had to click on each item with the BOD gump to fill the deed.

And: Some items got the mark "Exceptional" and "crafted by..", some only got the "crafted by..", when they are exceptional. Everything is fine, it's just not well organized by the game itself.
