Title: Imbuing resistance
Post by: Bosskie on January 02, 2011, 01:16:11 PM
So im so close to a few resistance but the suit im building is becoming very unstable to imbue. I am looking into backup pieces but want to know if resists count on the max 10 on imbue. For instance resist intensity is 1-15%. But if crafted with a runic it can go over the cap. Would those resists over 15% be a part of the max properties for imbuing?

I asked Xeen about this last developer meeting. If you're crafting in special leather or ingot, EVERY resist counts as a property (even if it's only 5), unless you remove the bonus resists. So you really want pieces with 2 or 3 in the 20's and remove the bonus resists on the other two.

It's because the bonuses you get from say, horned leather (2/3/2/2/2), those all count as properties. He said he wasn't sure about the arms lore bonuses, but it shouldn't matter. Be sure to remove resists that aren't your 2 or 3 good resists.

Ok, That might explain why I was breaking Luck runes on my arms. Was the only property I was imbueing and never had that many luck runes break till my arms broke. I about cried.

If you can check and verify with Xeen that will help the shard out with FAQ Rotworth.

Mahavira, sounds like you have imbued resist, Whats the cap on imbuing resists?

I have no idea what the cap would be. I know on Royal Leggings of Ember, when you imbue cold, it's cap is 15. On runic, I've gone over 20. I've never tried imbuing again once it went over 20.

Yea so looks like runic resists will be better then trying to imbue resist. Makes sence. Now time to do some math. Thanks for info Mahav
