I know i am knew here but 3 times today the server has shut down on me and i lost all my gear. is this a common occurence here? i feel like i am wasting my time when i have a load of gold and the server shuts down un expectantly and i lose everything..............
No its not common, but from whats been posted in the update section abd what Xeen`s said in chat hes been working hard to slove % cure it.
no, it does not happen very often, but it is frustrating when it does. but even osi has crashes and reverts, they're part of the fabric of uo! and hey, at least you lost less than 1 full day's worth of gameplay ^^
died again today when the shard went off line, its like 2 - 3 times a day not fun
tell me about it, i just got done with a 45 min killing of paragon sand crab to get some new spawn in, lol

I am looking at an update post today and it appears to be same time the shard went offline and i was in a fight. I am sure I am dead at this point. However I am curious, If this is an update why isnt there a message that the shard is going to be brught down for maintenance?

This server peaks when i m sleeping.This server goes offline when i get back from work and whole america is sleeping. FFS.
I like the game play environment here, but i am not thrilled with the game crashes that have been occuring. I ahve only been here a week though, hoping it gets better.

Agreed.It's a real turn off though I brought 2 friends the last week and they are getting frustrated :x
On the bright side though I was contacted by a Gm who wanted to try and assist because of the losses I suffered. So it is it does appear to be a user friendly shard and the people i was fortunate to meet when I got here have been exceptionally helpful. I have dont the Uo paid scene and a few free shards, but non have been as pleasnat as here. so i think they deserve a little patience from me. :mrgreen:
