I installed the game yesterday and it ran beautifully (followed the installation instructions to a T). Today after work, they aren't working. The only thing that has changed is an update to firefox. Anybody know how I can fix?
please explain animations more.
Like what exactly?
I can run around, but as soon as I cast or try to mine, the character animations freeze. They will unfreeze if i continue to run around, but freeze in motion again when I cast, mine, or do anything that requires an animation (except running).
I think I know what you're talking about. Your client doesn't freeze or lockup, your character just gets stuck in certain animations.
It should fix itself, I'm pretty sure it's from macroing.
Its not from macroing, I just did a champ, and the corpses stay frozen in a falling position. I toped up my justice befor going to champ and the human npcs I was killing freeze up on death halfway falling to the ground. Shift Ctrl still showes the name in red and also the corpe which cant be seen. During the champ (rats) on death the mobs just freeze, quickly filling the screen, and it was imposiblr to find Barras body to loot.
Anyone else having this problem that can better explain it?
what client version are you guys running?
ely's just told me on msn he doesn't have the recommended patch (7.0.8.1).
i've also had him try using razor's resync client command - didn't work.
checked he's got all the same .net frameworks as me - he does.
so my best suggestion is check you're patched up to and including 7.0.8.1 for starters, and tell us what happens after you've done that.
Uninstalled, Reinstalled, Patching now.....
....to be continued.....
Patching up to 7.0.8.1 seems to have solved the problem.
i patched up to 7.0.8.2 because it was recommended to patch through it :?
reinstalled, patch to 7.0.8.1
still happening.. character gets frozen mid animation. I can still move around, but for instance.. combat is just me and the mob start at each other taking damage. There is no animation. This is the first server i've ever had this happen
check if you've accidentally enabled a couple of old settings in uo's internal options.
from paperdoll, click options, then the eye tab (2nd down on the right hand side).
have you got a tick in the boxes beside either 'reduce display framerate' or 'enable frame skipping'?
(these should *not* be ticked.)
