I built a script for 'Mace and Shield' donating.
Auto:
Tinks spare tink tools and tongs if needed,
restocks from bank,
makes bucklers,
gives to warrior (collection guy)
Collecting resources, like mining/fishing/lumber is fine, but not gold (i.e. hunting/selling)
This isn't really gold though, prepping for gold. It is prepping for an item which could[ be sold, just as if I were to do so with scrolls inscripting. Can I do this afk?
-.- the math says it should take around 40hrs to get 800k points.
illegal.
Only can script for bandaids, pot drinking etc, chopping wood, mining, fishing
Nothing else
might i ask why this has started to be enforced? and to clarify - is it completely illegal regardless, or only illegal if it's afk scripting?
and what about using a combination of razor macros to achieve the same thing, is that illegal?
A script is a script, no matter what language or program it is done with.
If it is illegal, it is still illegal with razor.
"pot drinking etc"
You don't get to say everything else is illegal and use an 'etc' when saying what IS legal.
I'll quote a few peices of the stated rules...
"b. Macroing is allowed, even while you are away from keyboard, except for activities listed in rule 5-c. below"
- scripts are legal, except for the ones mentioned below...
"c. When performing the following activities, you must not be away from keyboard: killing spawn (regular or champions), gathering wealth while AFK."
- So, no hunting and no gathering (except fishing/mining/lumber) while afk, but scripting while not-afk still legal.
"d. Please remember that if you use a macro to make trade, buy, or sell announcements in the [t (trade) channel, those messages need to be spaced 30 minutes apart. (This also applies if you are not afk or not using a macro.)"
- We see trade message spamming all the time. Often done in 5-10minute intervals.
Now... Heres a nice list of script subjects. I'm curious. Legal, or not? Correct me if I am wrong.
Fully auto pvp/pvm script - legal
- Common sense would tell me fully auto PvP is illegal, but I guess it is hard to tell a fully auto from a semi auto player. The semi auto has the advantage most of the time anyway.
AFK Gold farming - illegal
- Would afk making scrolls (but not selling) be considered (gathering wealth), assuming I already have all the ingredients needed? (just makes scrolls, doesn't buy or sell anything)
AFK Arty farming - illegal
- As it is either hunting (illegal) or gathering wealth (illegal)
AFK training - legal
- we see it in the training room all the time. literally. its a surprise if anyone isn't afk there.
Hotkey (such as spells, bandaids, shuriken, pots, skills) - legal
- No one will play without simple hotkeys. Nothing more to say.
Hotkey combo (aka semi-auto) - legal
- For example, a hotkey to cast explosion-flamestrike-fireball on your last target.
'Smart' Hotkeys - legal
- "alt+1" is my greater heal hotkey for example. It uses a razor macro to cast greater cure or greater heal. I would assume legal.
- Say I had a hotkey to cast either fireball, lightning, or harm, depending on the resist of my target... Assumed illegal (as it requires ability to read target's resists), but how are you going to know?
- dressing/undressing -->used to equip weapons for special moves. legal
looting scripts? - legal
- I like to use one when I go hunt for gems and imbuing material, as those are often very annoying to grab manually. It also helps search through a bunch of crap to grab good stuff. Often, the reason to 'not' use a script is that they can slow down the computer over time or that they can miss things (inside corpses, or corpses themselves) that we wouldn't. I can see how using it while hunting with others could be unfair, but solo it would have the same possible outcome.
The script I mentioned in 1st post, to help with 'Mace and Shield' - legal
- not legal afk. I guess you do consider it gathering wealth then.
looking for clarification. can the mace and shield type scripts be run ifyou are willing to let your eyes bleed staring at your pc and not afk.
I think its pretty illegal letting your lumber guys afk farm the whole time, what achievement do you get from it, just a quicker way to get Keenons or mace and shield.
Should put a cap on how much you can attain each day so that this script abuse wont happen.
since this directly relates to disciplinary action, i want staff answers, not player speculation ^^
i don't understand the logic of declaring scripts that hand in wood or bucklers or axes illegal. surely this just slows down newer players' when it comes to getting 2 best in slot items so they can make headway in pvp (keeo, m&s).
i understand that perhaps it's to stop people selling m&s for 3.5mil each.. but maybe for people that don't have access to certain scripts, paying someone 3.5mil is still better than either having to save 8.25mil to donate (like at the zoo) or manually crafting and clicking an awful lot..
let's ditch community collections and make all the items available with pcoins :D

Hes the owner, what else is needed for petes sake.
Exactly right. I don't care if your staring at the computer doing it.
Pretty much I don't like anything where your gathering gold or a artifact.
Use your best judgement. I don't have to explain myself. If you don't want to manually turn in for mace and shield glasses then by them from another player.
Just use common sense.
