Hey i've recently been looking up mmorpgs to play since i have become bored with the others i got in too. Ultima online popped up but i was told that this game has been ceased, and the only way to play it is thru private servers. As i have never played this game before and found this private server, is there somewhere else i should go to learn about this??? or is everything i need available at the beginning of playing?

i have found this to be a very helpful server, but they definately prefer that you try and find out first on your own, and then ask if you still can't figure it out

Welcome to the shard. Glad to see new people to this exciting game are coming, that was my goal to bring all kinds of player, new and old.
Ok well, i downloaded the client and logged on, i got a msg that my client was out of date and realized i kept seeing that it couldn't find a string of something in the quest book. So i decided i would patch some.. i only let it go for a little while then canceled it at like 7.0.6 but when i logged on it still had some missing strings. So I let it patch all the way and now when i try to login it gets stuck on the verifying account window. What should i do about this? did it change to enhanced client and is hould be using that other method i seen in forums?
the 2d or enhanced client will work (although the enhanced client is a tad buggy)
What exactly the problem your having? Says your client is out of date pop up?
well it did say that, and then i let it patch overnite so it has all the patches. But now it gets stuck on the verifying account window when i try to login. I am using razor to login.
fixed, just had to restart
