General Discussion / Re: Using the 3D Client

I assume the UOSA Launcher from the Wiki doesn't work now?
Downloaded and extracted it to the game folder but it still wont allow me to log in.  Almost seems like it's trying to connect to the OSI servers.

Shame :(

OK differing currency I can understand!
This however looks odd!

I had a read through the recent [Oktober] patch and this seems like a good thing to buy.

General Discussion / Using the 3D Client
October 01, 2012, 06:22:50 PM
Hey guys and girls!

I must admit, I have not used the UO3D client since UO:LBR (AoS killed it for me in all honesty) but I have heard from a few friends wo still play OSI that the 'new' UOSE client is pretty good for what it is.
As I can see in the Wiki that we can use it here (albeit unsupported, which is fine by me) I was curious about it.

Do any of you guys use this on a day to day basis?
How does it compare to the good old 2D one we're all used to?

I think having played 'modern' MMOs in recent years has spoiled me, I have managed to get too used to the shinies in WoW/Aion/SWTOR etc.
Now I know that any UO client is never going to be at SWTOR standards, but was just wondering if it's worth the download when I finally get my new CPU (old one went pop fizzle bang, so awaiting €185 credit to get a new one as I was under warranty :D)

Blown away :)
Just doing the old skill grind at the moment but should any big things pop up (seems I have some reading as I am a few expansions out of date now, Bushido/Ninjitsu was all new when I stopped!) I'll be sure to drop some messages :)

Having a nice issue buying a trash bag (7000gp on me, but says I can't afford a 300gp item :D) but I'm not that fussed about it at the moment, training skills is a lot more important :)  And of course working out the best use of my 3x75 and 3x90 skillballs.  So many choices!

Heya all.  Just another old UO player saying "'lo I be new!".

Played UO back in the Golden Age of Pre pub16, rejoined with AoS and stopped at SE expansion.
I started with freeshards a year ago almost playing on one that shall not be named, but, sadly said shard doesn't have the new toys you seem to have here, so I decided to swap :)

I'm mainly a PvMer *sorry* as I had my fill of PvP back on Europa in the day and in all honesty I'm too old for it now ;)

Hope to see you all in game :)

Nice one for my first post here :)

Has to be Moonglow for me.
Managed to snag a small house by the entrance to town on the old Europa shard back on release.  Made a bomb with that little shop :)
