I don't understand why you all cry about pvp... It's not like you loose anything hell there's bank stones, insurances... would've loved to see how much you guys would've cried back in the days when it was fel only and there was no insurance...

Short answer, I wouldn't have played.

Thin line between PvPers and griefers and no way to filter out the decent players who happen to like PvP from the griefers who just like winding people up.

I wonder if it is the succession of characters rather than words. There is clearly no word in what you said that warrants a ban, but the letters C, U and M in circumstance could be considered vulgar. If so, don't mention assassins or the planet Uranus and God forbid if you live in Gaydon or support the football (soccer) team Arsenal here in sunny Great Britain

As Kon mentioned before, chat bans are automatic and personally I'd rather suffer an inappropriate chat ban than read profanity-filled chat messages. But it can't hurt to try and tweak it, I guess.

No, I farmed Swoop for about 3 weeks - every night - and unravelled each item individually. Such a pain. Glad it is over, but it still wasn't as dull as taming, I mean, at least you get minor artifacts and such off of Swoop.

More of an FYI thing that I cant locate anywhere else...

I am currently working on my taming skill and I have noticed a couple things:

What I am doing:  I am taming animals, then I kill them so another one spawns.  (it is my understanding that once you gain off an animal, you cant gain off them again)

When I try to cast a spell on the pet it says that I cannot perform hostile acts against my pet.

So I have to release it...sometimes it gives me another window just to make sure I want to release it and other times it just releases the pet...I then kill it with some BOOM BOOM kinda magic :-p

I was looking at some training ideas on a few websites and they say that if I am in a guild...then I can cast hostile spells against my pets.  
Is that correct?  If so it would help to build my pets resist spells once I get all trained up, and it would help to be in a guild now so I could just kill em once I tame em.

any ideas ?

You got it, you need to be in a guild to be able to attack something you have just tamed. Makes it a heck of alot easier

LOL thanks guys, I asked this two months ago. I GM'd it now but I just had to keep testing whether I would gain by unravelling or whether I had to start imbuing at certain skill levels. OSI say start imbuing around 50 I think, whereas it is 70ish here, though I started at 65.

With doom, dojo and mines now being trammel ruleset that will allow players to farm arties basically 24/7 without any worries at all, absolutely no challenge. Meaning the server will be filled with artifacts and they'll all become basically worthless which will directly affect the economy and not in a good way. While those were still PVP zones there were atleast PVPers keeping those dungeons from being farmed, but now what's keeping someone to farm all day everyday?

A life, maybe? I have maybe 3 to 4 hours per day to chill - this includes TV, reading and computer games, more on my days off work admittedly, but last night I went a bit silly and spent about 5 hours in Doom Gauntlet and I got 0 artifacts. Whilst I was there, nobody else said they had got one either, so I think it is balanced pretty well so far. Anybody who can seriously play this all day every day needs a job or a life :p

Thanks for your response! I grinded for GM Taming back when T2A came out and I remember it being torture! I can already tell this will be easier but I have been spoiled by how easy it is to GM everything else I guess. Wish I had known what I do now when I started and definitely would have used that original 75 skill ball for Taming. Oh well, this will make me appreciate it more!

I made exactly the same mistake as you, taming should automatically come at 75 as it is such a pain in the ass. It is much easier here than on an OSI shard though. Good luck

I hope Doom Gauntlet does pick up... I'll be heading there next weekend maybe - depending on whether I get time during the week - would be good to actually stand a chance of soloing Dark Fathers because them SOBs are tough!

I know this is opinion based but I as a new player do you think you would grind out GM Taming or save up for a Skill Ball?

Ugh, taming. It is much better here than OSI, as you get gains for failing a lot of the time, but it is still a ballache. I watched about 6 movies one day, UO on one side of my screen, windows media player on the other. I think if you are going to grind it you should really find something to keep you busy while you're at it.

Your account is created when you log in for the first time. So once you have Razor and the client installed and you get to the page where you enter your account name and password, what you enter first will be that information going forward - i.e. it creates an account automatically.

This means you need to be really careful when entering your details first time.

Some areas in Illshenar lead to Konstantines crib or something, if it says you can't pass then that is probably what it is...

Oh, and you may want to remove your screenshot. One of your tabs is labelled "Christina Firing Arse" - this needs clarity.

This has been fixed.


Next patch will have a preventive measure for it not to happen again.

Anyone else having issues getting logged in?

I have three accounts, am logged in with the secondary two, but my main one keeps saying 'Connection Lost'. I was logged in, hunting, went to buy some repairs in Luna and got the message, now it is each time I try to log in.
