Hey guys,

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Godric, I'm from England and I played Ultima Online years ago - I left just after ML launch. I wanted to return but couldn't stomach paying a monthly fee for a game so looked up free ones and that is how I ended up here

I'm a PvM player. I'm usually quite a social person so I guess it wont be long before I'm looking for a guild to join (once I've L2P again).

I actually have some questions which I'll post in the general or help forums if I don't get them answered here;

When I used to play, Doom Gauntlet was THE thing to do, is that still the case or has something took it's place?

Has Doom Gauntlet difficulty been adjusted to suit a lower populated server?

This last one is a bit of a mix. I'm training a Bard/Mage - the skills seem easy enough to train up, I know how to train my stats but it is taking an age, and I have a 100% LRC suit (but it's the new player one with a bracelet with the remaining 10% on). Based on that information;
What is the fastest way to train up my Strength and Intelligence?
How long do I have the 90% suit for? (it said limited time on the bag)
What is the best place for me to train and start getting gold and good items outside of the new player dungeon? (I find the rooms too small)

There is no time limit on using the new player LRC suit, but as far as I know they cant be repaired so the parts will break when the durability hits 0/0.  

Also if you go to the training elementals in New Insula train naked as laft unchecked your suit parts can & will wear out break.

Ah, I see. But I can't train naked without a shed load of reagents. I'll train in the suit and pray it lasts

Sry should have made that a little clearer, be naked when training melee (sure thats spelet wrong, wep skills) then the only thing to wear out is ya wep and when thats gone wresling will gain.  I dont think ya suit is in any danger if ya casting spell on the T eleys.

I maxed my stats now, I'm working on animal taming... and animal taming is as much a pain in the arse as it used to be  :lol:

Very much a pain in the arse, skill ball it to 75 if you havent already, and do bulls in Del tram everyday till ya get boared.

I skillballed already, didn't realise there was no skillcap here and wanted to play a mage/bard.

I'm getting there... 57.5 at the moment. And no way am I going anywhere near a PvP facet, can't stand it #trammie4life

Ive capped most skills, most can be GMed or up to 120 in a day, they just take time and in some cases resorces/gold.  The ones im left with are provo & remove trap, there just slow to gain and I never spend much time on them.  As I said b4 tamming was very slow but doing a little everyday (I used a simple click till its tammed script to aid me, Tagalong Tamer by imtcb)

If you get stuck razing one just post here, Pandora is full of very nice and helpfull ppl.

Despite my complaints I managed to raise taming from 57.5 to 92.5 over 5 hours last night and an hour this morning. It was a bit of a grind but I did use a Razor macro for the bulk of it (Timber Wolves, Grey Wolves, Walrus, Polar Bear, Panther, Frost Wolves) but this became impossible once I hit Del - the macro was targetting random greys (which it was designed to) but when they are about a million bulls (slight exaggeration) on screen at a time my character got confused - I'm sure he tried taming a tree at one point.

I'll be happy once I'm playing UO how I used to - with a bonded Nightmare and a bonded Rune Beetle... and don't go telling me about better pets because I'll put my fingers in my ear and go "la la la la la". I have a dream.  :lol:
