Commodity deeds

Why are commodity deeds so darn expensive?....I would like to use them..to put some leather and ingots on a vendor. I just think that the cost adds too much to the  price of goods

I think you can easily recoup the cost just by selling bulk ingots and or leather?....I Know I am always looking for ingots....Nigel
