Just started this shard

Started playing and where is a good place to hunt for gold. Things that are not to hard to kill because atm I'm only in regular leather armor. Need suggestions on everything.

I'm asking because I'm going to remake my character because I used the skill ball on the wrong skills. On my new character I'm going to use the skill ball for tailoring, magery, imbueing. Is that wise to use the skill ball on?

Taming, Poisoning, and whatever else you choose. Do it, or you will regret it. In terms of gold, well, you will have to explore on your own. That's part of the fun of being on a new shard.

There is no "Easy monster that drops good gold". You have to invest time in hunting monsters that are easy and drop little gold and work up from there.

I started when the shard was fresh, over 5 months ago. I didn't have an LRC suit, and LRC pieces were priced at 1k per LRC. (That's 15k for 15 LRC, for those that don't want to do the math). So what did I do? I started out using Blade Spirits on acid elementals. They dropped roughly 100 gold per. And they weren't all too easy to kill. It usually took 2-3 blade spirits to kill them.

When I wasn't in the mood for killing, I used my inscription skill to craft Flamestrike scrolls, sell them to the NPC's, and bought more regs and scrolls. Roughly a 15g profit per scroll. Is that great money? No. But profit is profit.

Eventually, after a week or so of doing this, I managed to get myself an LRC suit. From there, I used EV's on dragons. No regs spent means it's all 100% profit. The dragons at that time only dropped about 100-120g and 5 or so gems. I grabbed the gold and the gems and sold the gems, equalling out about 200-300g per dragon. Wash, rinse, and repeat.

The moral of this story? If you want money relatively effortlessly, don't expect it to be fast. You have to work hard for the good things. Hehe. Reminds me of the countless months of farming orcs to buy myself a castle back in the day.

Is poisoning for making poisons to use on monsters? Or for alchemist?

I started with 75 resist, 75 magery and 75 tactics before I realized what insula was (training area and newbie Dungeon). I went to covetous and did pretty well for myself fighting dread spiders, i used a lot of regs but was still making a profit and getting some LRC items. I am still exploring looking for easy money, I don't think there is such a thing until you get GM+ on whatever skills you are using. It takes time. Goodluck making your treasure pile.
