Questions regarding Beetles

1 - Do Fire Beetles actually spawn here and if so does anyone know where and when I can find one.

2 - How does an Iron Beetle work for mining.   A person in game told me they work just like any other shard and to search UOGuide.   UOGuide is very vague on it and google searching shows that they tend to have differences depending on what shard it's on.

they should, from what i know. Where you have to ask the players ^^

10% chance upon spawning, that it is of a different ore hue. And it should mine every 30 seconds or so.

Just so I make sure I understand.   If an Iron Beetle spawns and is a different color than normal then it is a mining beetle, if it is normal in color then it is not?

Fire beetles spawn in the tot mines at the very end as far as a time im not sure anymore but i think its somewhere around a week in between each spawn

I saw that the ToT mines were the place, but thank you so much for the info on the timer.  It would explain why I never see one.

Just tame any 'colour' of Iron Beetle and have it walk around with you while you're mining. From time to time it will 'eat' some Ore out of the ground where you mine. I dont think there's a difference in the colours tho. Just try it
