Lumberjacking/Axe Dmg

I noticed when I was hacking away at Swoop yesterday with an ornate axe, my lumberjacking skill was going up.  I've historically been a fencer but have played OSI plenty of times with axes and never noticed lumberjacking raise.  Have I just overlooked it or does Lumberjacking synergize with axes a la oldschool uo?

Lumberjacking will add damage when using an axe. For example, an Ornate axe with 100 Strength, GM Tactics and GM Anatomy will give you 46 - 51 damage. Add GM Lumberjacking and you get 51 - 57 damage. I don't know the formula, I'm sure you can look it up on stratics, but you can use this tool to figure out your weapons stats.

Thanks for the info.  Is it overpowered like pre T2A or negligible?
