do people believe that there should be a cool down time with orange petals, lesser cure pots, g cure pots and a 3 sec to 3.5 sec max time on bangages? this thread isn't for discussion merely a thread designed to see what people in pandora think... my vote is no

Ive been thinking about this and decided that lowering the bandage speed would be a bad idea, there are plenty of people who use them as their main heal and the change would hurt their pvm ability big time. The main problem with the 2s bandaids is that with the imbued gear you can get it AND full mage heal/cure capability, add no cooldown petals/potions to that and given the right heal macro this setup is almost impossible to put down. Maybe a better thing to do would be to limit fc/fcr to 2/5 or 2/6 once the characters bandaid speed goes under say 3.5s, so if you go for 2s bandaids you no longer get the full casting. This would bring back the dexxer class and make other builds more viable. Kind of like OSI did with chivalry and magery...
 As far as petal cooldowns and potion cooldowns, that just seems reasonable to have.

Just two cents being added, love it or hate I don't care. This server is an All Skills server, there is no class BS here. You use all the skills for pvp here, thats what makes the pvp fun here. When we have it and people are not fussing because of the fact other people choose to use Pots/Petals (things that were put in the game for pvp/pvm) UO Has been an Items game for about 10 years or so now. Graunted some of the imbu stuff is crazy but everyone can get it. Farm for the mats build your suit and stop complaining because you get rolled by someone that has their suit done. I'm always trying to improve my suit, yes it still has room for improvment. I just can't seem to understand why all this fussing is done about gear by new players on this shard. Just because you can't make some of the items that were imbued from the older system(s), doesn't mean you can't have a great suit to contend with others. I personal have blown up a lot of peices from the old imbuing system trying to make some really crazy stuff.  :D  If you start added all these non sense timers to everything your really going to kill pvp.

Now I'm not saying don't throw in a 1.5 second delay on a G. Cure. I can live with that but if your talking about adding anything higher then that.. Well thats just dumb. There is nothing wrong with bandage timers either. Thats what makes pvp here so fun. We have already had an issue with bandaids when they were lower then this. People could basically instant heal with bandages, thats how we ended up on a two second cap. Don't punish people who put work into their suits to even their stats out to make it work with a two second bandages heals.

Like I stated before, there is no classes on this server its a 120 all skills server if you can get the power scrolls. You have to use all the skills in pvp here if you want to stand a chance. Everyone is a Dexxer/Mage here, deal with it and learn to play both sides. You will enjoy it a lot more when you play. I'm not here bashing any said person just stating in General. You can Love it or you can Hate it, I don't care.

Adding all these delays is just retarded, Vote is no.

So pretty much make it a Primary mage-only heal system? No thanks...

..and I dont think serious changes should be made to the shard on a whim when a few ppl start complaining.

Vote is no.... leave it as is. G cures are available to everyone...yes, everyone.

Nobody said you would have to use mage only, 3.5s bandage is still pretty fast. The choice would be either you go for weapon speed and fast bandages but loose some casting speed or you go for casting/mana and loose some weapon and healing speed. I bet you there are a few people on the shard that could get into a pvp room with you, turn on their heal macro and walk away for 5-10 min safely knowing there is nothing you could do to kill them till at least their mana ran out.

Adding a cool down timer to potions and decreasing bandage speed will not ruin PvP. You know what ruins PvP? Scripts. That's exactly what these changes are meant to correct. Konstantine is a former PvP'er, so I think he would want his shard to have the best PvP system around. The best PvP system would be one that's skill based and not one that's decided by who uses the best scripts. When you combine godly suits with these elaborate healing scripts, you can make even a complete newbie competitive.  Anyone with half a clue about PvP would be invulnerable in a 1v1 fight.

The most effective way for people to fight script healers is to keep them poisoned. We simply cannot do that with the current system. You auto-quaff a cure potion, you don't even need to cast the cure spell. Adding a "1.5" second cool-down won't do a thing. The reason you all are opposed to the cool-down is because you won't be able to run around in God mode anymore and you will have to actually fight with skill (not directed at Coeur). That's why KR3W never joins Daily PvP events, you can't use cure potions in them.

Sure, you can say I can use those scripts too. But that misses the point. I don't use scripts because I don't want to use scripts. I enjoy playing the game, I like trying to keep track of when to use another bandage, when to use a weapon ability, when to recast Evasion; all the while, trying to time my spells for combinations and, more importantly, reading and reacting to what my opponent does. It's extremely difficult and takes a lot of practice to even become mediocre, but that's what I enjoy about the game. The ability to do all that should make you good at PvP, not because you can run a script.

Take Coeurs advice, this is an all-skills shard, so use them. You want the primary heal system to be fully automated? What a joke.

It's hard enough that magery is the primary skill. I rely on bandades and pots. As an adventurer of pvp I would say put a timer on the pots. But have the bandage time more twords OSI. With my current build my mana pool is drained by casting gift of life. If I cant do it through Razor, I don't run it. Which makes it 4x hard to go out in the field.

With that said, yes put a timer on potions. 1 -1.5 seconds. But for the dexxer'z could the bandage time be alittle quicker, 1.5 seconds maybe?
