Cant get on

Hi
I am a new to this shard and am trying to get on. So I did what it says in the Play Free section but I cant seem to connect. When I try to use the Stygian Abyss class client, it hangs on connecting.. When I try to connect using the loader for the enhanced client (as mentioned in another thread) I am able to see the shard and get up to the part where u create a character which I do but then nothing happens. What am i doing wrong?

Ok Have you downloaded Razor also? -- And once you download UO -- do you go into your Ultima Online directory and double click UOPATCH? To update fully?

I ran the update fully, so its the version that came out i think today. I dont have razor because I was hoping to run the enhance client (with the hot bars etc) using the loader.. I am able to connected but when i create my character nothing happens.. when I try to connect again, i am forced to try to make a character again (and nothing happens after I do).

While you can use the new client to play on runUO servers can't you create characters with it, so in order to make a character do you need to download the classic client. Then after you have created your char can you play it with the new client.

are you referring to the stygian abyss classic client? because I have that.

Yes make a char on classic client -- all though you can play pandora on the enhanced 3d client, it is not recommended, every runuo shard will tell you that. But use razor to connect using classic, make a char, etc. Then try to run your enhanced.

We do not offer support at this time for enhanced client (I myself will use it sometime though    )
