Sudgestions for Factions

I feel that the faction robe with 7 hit and 7 dci and then primarily everyone hanging out in tram is an unfair way to abuse a gift for faction members.  I propose that this robe only be active (the 7 hit / 7 dci) when in faucets were faction members can fight each other so that primarily pvm players do not join factions just for the robe benefits.

I do look forward to konstantines post suggesting that factions will have more benefits soon however orange, my post did not restrict faction members from participating in PVM with their robe.  It only would not give benefits to the wearer WHILE in tram faucets where faction fighting can't happen.  I think you are overlooking the point where any trammy can join a faction and stay in tram and never get killed by an opposing faction but still benefit from the robe for the faction.  No item is pvm / pvp specific but factions are meant to promote pvp not help people pvm in tram.  But since its already been noted that factions will be altered soon I am sure some of these concerns of mine may be addressed.

I think your missing the point about people joining a pvp system to gain benefits in non-pvp areas.

You're still missing the point about PvP players participating in PvM environments to reap the benefits there. In spite of what you think, PvP is NOT greater than PvM. PvM = PvP. Items intended for one aspect may be used for the other, and there is plenty of overlap. You simply cannot argue otherwise.

I believe I am not missing any point.  I did not say pvp and pvm can not participate in the same events.  Nor did I say one game play style was better then the other.  What I am saying that you are blatantly overlooking is trammy pvm'ers who have no intentions of ever trying to pvp should not be allowed to join a faction to gain a item that helps them in pvm.  The benefits of the robe from factions should be earned, not by just clicking of a stone and going back to tram forever.

I totally agree with deadmous. Factions is 100% PVP and 0% PVM. You get a 7/7 robe when you join to help IN faction fights, players who join factions just to use the robe for trammel facet pvm should not be allowed orange, and you "cannot" deny that mate.

If that were true, it wouldn't work for PVM combat. It's given FOR joining factions not FOR participating. There's a very important, although minor distinction to make there. I understand completely what you're saying... It artificially inflates factions population, etc. However, there's just no argument that you can make for the purpose of the item, considering its current state.

I am just going to say this, you shouldn't be given an item for joining a faction or joining a pvm event.  If you do receive any benefits from either they should be earned as rewards for participating not just signing up.  

Imagine this, its your first day on the shard.  You renounce your young player status and join a faction then stay in tram the rest of your time on this shard.  This is what you consider that fair?

I just don't get how it's "unfair" to anyone. The robe is available to any player. Maybe you don't mean "unfair." Maybe you mean "undeserved"?
