Here's just a quick post for those who havent pvp'd much before and are curious about what gear/mods or style of pvp to choose. Feel free to add anything else :)

First up the 3 most popular classes of pvp are:

1) Mage (casting)

2) Dexxer (melee combat)

3) Hybrid (combination of casting and melee)

Mage

Mages would have to be the most popular pvp class on ultima online, mainly because of the variety of ways to kill, heal, escape and trap your target. However the success/skill of a mage is highly dependant on the skill of the player. Because of the speed you can cast at 4/8 faster casting and faster cast recovery, playing as a mage requires a lot of skill, a LOT of thinking and some really good hot key timing to be able to use this class to its full potential. There are a couple of types of mages i know of that ill list below:

Pure Mage: Pure mages are mages that depend entirely on their casting to get them out of all situations, whether it be offensive casting, heal casting and so on. Pure mages will usually have armour, jewel and spellbook mods like lower mana cost, mana regeneration, mana increase, spell damage increase and of course fc/fcr. If you are an experienced mage pvper it is a good class to choose.

Tank (dci) mage: Tank mages or 'dci whores' as i like to call em :) are pretty much the same as a pure mage however they prefer to have as much dci (defense chance increase) as possible, which means dexxers wont be able to hit them as often allowing the mage to cast uninterrupted for longer periods.

As this is a no skillcap server, a handful of necro, and now mysticism spells can be thrown in aswell to aid a caster in pvp.

Dexxer

Dexxing is another name for warrior/fighter. It is called dexxing on uo because dexterity is a must for any fighter as it speeds up their swingspeed and their healing. A dexxers main aim in combat is to be able to hit as often as possible, as hard as possible and as fast as possible. Popular weapon specials are infecting, mortal wound, bleed, armour ignore and more as these halt a players healing, interrupt casting and do large damage. the main mods a dexxer should have on his/her weapons/jewels/armour are swing speed increase (ssi), damage increase (di), hitspell (e.g hit fireball 40), dexterity bonus, hit chance increase (hci), defence chance increase (dci), stamina increase, and a little mana regen and lower mana cost.

Chiv Dexxer: Chivalry dexxers use chivalry to aid their dexxing, and typically have 4/8 casting mods to allow them to cast chivalry spells at full speed (as you do not need a spell channeling weapon to cast chivalry spells). However you need less than 70 magery skill to be able to cast at full speed. Chiv spells most commonly used are in pvp are divine fury, consecrate weapon, close wounds and holy light.

Bushido/ninjitsu dexxer: While you have to sacrifice a few things to become a bushdio/ninjitsu dexxer, the rewards (if used properly) are definately worth it. Bushido dexxers cannot use shields at all, and if you do use a shield with both the bushido ninjitsu skills at gm then your parry skill doesnt work at all, you will fail to parry. However if you DO have both ninj and bush skills and you do NOT use a shield, then your parry skill works just as well as a non ninj/bush dexxers using a shield. However losing a shield means you lose a possible 15 hci, 15dci and some resists all of which are vital for a dexxer. If you CAN get enough hci/dci without a shield then id recommend using these skills. Popular bush/ninj skills used for pvp are death strike (personal favourite), evasion, lightning strike and focus attack.

Hybrid:

Mage hybrid:
Hybrid mages are pretty much a mage character that uses a weapon to aid his/her casting. hybrid mages typically use a weapon with mods like hci, spell channeling, hitspell and damage increase. These weapons are useful in pvp if the mage can get a decent amount of hit chance increase on his/her suit. Mage hyrbids will often cast a combo of spells (e,g explosion, flamestrike, poison) and then finish off the combo with an armour ignore hit from their weapon. Altogether that spell, hit combo could do as much as 100 dmg or more depending on the other players resists.

Dex hybrid: Not as popular as a mage hybrid, because a dex hybrid typically has much much lower mana than any mage and needs a lot more mods on his/her suit, however still a good way to pvp. A dex hybrid will typically need as high as possible combo of the following mods: hci, dci, dexterity bonus, swing speed inc, mana regen, lmc, mana inc, resists, spell channeling (on weapon and shield) and normally 4/8 casting. Although similar to hybrid mage, a dex mage will usually use his dexxing/melee combat in pvp but has the ability to cast spells here and there while fighting and if high enough dexterity can heal faster than all other classes using healing and spell healing together.

Bushido/ninjitsu hybrid:
A bush/ninj hybrid combines dexxing, mage and bushdio/ninjitsu skills all in one to make a player with pretty much any skill, spell at his/her disposal. However this class is incredibly hard to build as you need such a large amount of mods on your suit, and at such high intensities to pull it off. If you can though, pick and choose your chosen styles from the above classes and put em together to pretty much create the most formidable pvp style there is...

Hope this helps those who are looking to start pvping, or who havent pvpd in a while get into it..
Because Pandora is a no skillcap server, it offers the most exciting pvp experience you could think of, as you have any skill and skill combination possible to use in pvp. So if you have just read all of this :)  why not choose which one you like the look of, get a few items with the mods associated with that class, make a few macros/hotkeys and start dueling! You may see a side of the game you never have before and think to yourself "what the hell have i been doing pvming and crafting all this time!?!?"... Or you may not lol.

Good luck :)
