Race/Stat question

Hello everyone, I'm new to the shard and haven't played UO in years. Can I please get a few opinions on what race and stat build are the "best" for a dexxer, mage, and hybrid please.

With Pandora being a non Skillcap Shard the JOAT trait for humans is almost useless.
Elves have Permanent Nightsight and +20 mana, they are in my opinion hard to overlook. There are many other opinions also. I do not have much experience with Gargolyes.

I would highly advise not making a gargoyle as your first char only because their wearable gear drops in just 1 faucet.  They still can be great characters they just need a elf/human char to get gear for them to make it easier.
