Global Chat: Privilege NOT Expectation!

I was on alot today cause it was my birthday, so I felt no need to feel guilty bout being on for so long...but I noticed ALOT of players abused global chat today and ultimately cause it to be disable. Kon does alot for this server and I highly doubt the first thing he wants to do is log on and and listen to a buch of scabs arguing over GC and making a joke out of it when he tries to contain it. Take it to PM if u wanna bitch or complain about another player doing something...repeated use of Global causes lag...and when the owner says to knock it off...JUST DO IT! The rest of us who respect the rules and devote our time to contrubute to Pandora don't need to have our EARNED privileges revoked due to neglection of the rules by the ignorance of the rules or flat out rebellion. Thank you!

I know you guys like global chat, and you won't find it fully global on any large shard because it's so hard to keep up. But we do, we try hard to keep it active. But it's hard to contain.

Overall I think there are a lot of us who try to stop it when it happens, but I agree there needs to be a limit on it, at times its out of control.

I notice some people take advantage when they know there is no one watching, then it escalates.

I dont want to loose it just because of a few who cannot follow the rules...Nigel

I don't even know if it would be possible, but I would love to see it.
Seems to me a lot of the abuse of the global chat comes from 2 different people. The first is the player that is upset and makes a lot of noise. The second is usually much quieter, but says just enough to keep the first person going on purpose.

Anyways my idea would be to allow all players the opportunity to vote for an account global chat ban.

An Example would be, 20 players vote for a character to get a global ban for misuse of the system, that account would get a global chat ban for an hour, possibly an added hour ban for each and every infraction, as well as losing an extra hour every day for good behavior.

Specifics could change but, but something along these lines would allow punishment for the guilty and justice for those committed to the rules and use of the Global Chat System.
