Geo-Location

Geo-Location has been re-enabled and we are using a new lookup service.

Crash Guard - When the shard crashes;

  • Players will receive a notice interface.
  • Pandora will automatically back-up and restart.
  • Players will be asked if they would like to submit a theory report if they were on-line during a crash event.

Commands

  • Grab can only be used in dungeons.
  • Grab will process corpses, items and gold.
  • Grab will trash worthless items for trash tokens.
  • Grab will split gold with party and guild members, including allies.
  • Grab can only be used once every 3 seconds.
  • Grab will only loot corpses that are at least 10 seconds old.
  • Grab will only delete corpses that you have rights to.
  • Grab will auto-loot rare+ items on corpses with looting rights.
  • Grab will give priority to larger groups of players in an area. (A group consists of party and guild members, including allies)
  • Grab will not process corpses of renowned's, champion's or peerless' creatures.

New Players

  • New characters should start with 100k Newbie Gold, an Ethereal Mount, a Newbie House Deed, 3 shrunken pack animals and a uses-remaining Shrink Potion.
  • New characters will be able to choose 5x skills at 100 (GM)
  • New Gargoyles will start with a usable flying idol.

Housing

  • Unlimited houses per account.
  • House Paints added.
  • House painting added to house customize interface.
  • Decay begins after 30 days from placement and drops after 7 days of normal decay.
  • The first house a character places will no longer be ageless.
  • Yards and gardens can be used to lock down items.
  • The Tower house now has an east and west wing fence and garden.
  • Added Gypsy Camp unique house.
  • Added Fortress unique house.
  • Unique houses added to placement tool interface.
  • House Placement rules loosened up a bit.
  • Added donation vendor for House Paints.

Combat

  • Added Critical Strike Hit Chance Increase property.
  • Added Resilience property.
  • Added Faster Ethereal Casting property.
  • Implemented Faster Ethereal Casting on Ethereal Mounts.
  • Added support for Critical chance, Ethereal Cast Speed and resilience to Armor, Weapon, Jewellery, Talisman, Spellbook, Quiver and Clothing.
  • Added damage calculations for Critical Strike Hit Chance.
  • Added negation calculations for Resilience.

Imbuing

  • Interfaces have been cleaned-up and should be more efficient.
  • Added Critical Strike Hit Chance Increase to interfaces.
  • Added Resilience to interfaces.
  • Added Faster Ethereal Casting to interfaces.
  • Donation Soul Forge can be used in backpack.

Shrinking

  • Changed names and messages to help give a more clear understanding of shrunken pets.
  • Added time-decay Shrink Potions.
  • Added uses-remaining Shrink Potions.
  • Added Shrunken Bonded Pet.
  • Shrunken Water Pets should now release in water properly.

Loot

  • Added Alchemy, Lumberjacking, Mining, Fletching, Cooking, Carpentry and Tinkering to Power Scroll available skills.
  • Primeval Lich drops Abyss House Paint (#2075 - Ultra Rare)
  • Added House Paint loot to most Elementals, Ratmen, Hell Hounds, Imps, Wraiths, Ghouls and Lich.

Misc

  • Garden Shed should work as expected and be securable. (Chop it and place it again)
  • Filter button added back to Taming BoB interface.
  • Dinosaurs can't swim!
  • Check Book hue changed to more visible #85.
  • Primeval Lich has 3 new abilities: Fire Blast, Summon Undead and Ice Rain.
  • Charybdis AI optimization.
  • New available interface for Resource Box, can switch to compact mode.
  • Empty Bottles, Empty vials and silver Serpent venom added to Resource Types.
  • Trophies added for marine life.
  • Trophies support bragging rights and show the hunter's name.
  • Marine life over certain weights will display fisherman's name.
  • Fixed damage buffer for Conflagration Potions.
  • Fixed pacify buffer for Confusion Blast potions.
  • Added Wikit's Ethereal Robe
  • Added Blank Scrolls to Inscription craft menu.
  • Added Newbie Gold for new players.
  • Hail Storm Spell effect fixed.
  • Plants now securable.
  • Potion Kegs should now store invisibility potions.
  • Added new colors for properties on Armor, Weapon, Jewellery, Talisman, Spellbook, Quiver and Clothing.

45.1

  • Garden sheds should now be accessible with secure level set to anyone by default.
  • Grab will not process corpses of renowned's, champion's or peerless' creatures.
  • Grab will delete corpses that you have looting rights for.
  • Grab will only loot corpses that are at least 10 seconds old.
  • Grab will auto-loot rare+ items on corpses with looting rights.

  • Champion Spawn corpses decay after 3 minutes.
  • House Placement rules loosened up a bit.
  • GeoLoc command will show the interface now.

Damage Calculations

In order to calculate the critical strike damage dealt, a number of factors come in to play;

First, the critical chance cap is decided and is as follows:

  • Player vs Player: 15% Cap
  • Monster vs Player: 20% Cap
  • Player vs Monster: 25% Cap

If your chance to perform a critical strike is successful, the critical damage will be a ranged percentage of your base damage;

  • PvP: 10% to 30%
  • MvP: 10% to 30%
  • PvM: 50% to 100%

The amount of damage absorbed is controlled by Resilience.
The amount of critical damage that you receive is reduced by the percentage of Resilience you have.
Resilience can be stacked up to 100%, which would effectively negate all critical damage.

The whole equation looks something like this;

base = (N % damage)
absorbed = (resilience % base)
crit = base - absorbed


Where 'N' ==

  • PvP: 10% to 30%
  • MvP: 10% to 30%
  • PvM: 50% to 100%


House Paints

House Paints can be used to paint your house! (Who would have guessed?)
You can either double-click them and target the sign of your house to paint it, or you can access your house customization menu through your house sign.

You must have a house paint in your pack, or locked down in your house for you to use it.

House paints are not consumable, you can use them as many times as you like!

Not all houses allow you to paint them, we've tested them all and we've disabled painting on specific houses where they just don't look right.
House painting is also disabled on some of the unique houses, either for the same reason as above, or because they already come with a special hue that can't be painted over.

Houses that do not allow painting are:

  • Custom Houses (Client limitation, sorry)
  • Dark Tower
  • Dark Keep
  • Dark Castle
  • Dark Fortress
  • Gypsy Camp/Caravan
  • Farmer's Wood Cabin

Because the caps are soft-caps and we're probably going to increase them as it becomes more common and people get used to it.

If we cranked it all the way to 100% straight away, it would probably imbalance PvP completely.

since youare reading this post Vor, why can't we place the unique houses? no matter where i try i get the system message "housing cannot be built here". but if i try the same spot with one of the old style houses, i can place it.

Which unique houses? They all use the same placement system so it shouldn't make a difference.

Since I have very limited time to play right now I logged in just to look at the resource box. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome looking. I'll be on this weekend to check out more of the cool changes and start reworking my resource macros.

They were all set at the back porch of my castle. Doh!!!!!!!!
