Patching problem

When i try to update i get an error message can someone please explain how i can get the client to update. thx in advance.

several things you can try:

if you're on the silly modern windows os like vista or 7, try running the patcher as admin.

try going to wherever you installed uo, find the folder called patch, and delete the contents of it, before attempting to patch again.

uninstall/reinstall uo.

i think there's also something to do with where vista/7 install applications to by default that doesn't work well with uo; someone that actually uses these goddawful OSs might be able to help more on that front.
