Some newbie questions

Hello, I played UO years and years ago before any expansions.  After doing a bunch of research on free-shards, I picked this one to be my home to try to get back in the groove of things.  I have to admit with all the new changes I am very lost, but I am learning slowly every day.  I have a few questions which I am confused about.  Thank you ahead of time to anyone who can give me some answers.

1. How does one get a Soul Shard?

2. Can 1 character train every skill to 100?  Kind of make a "super character"?

3. What are the different chat commands in the game?  Other than just talking, I don't know how to do trade chat, global, ect....

Sorry if some of these questions were asked in other posts already, but I poked around the forums for a bit and didn't see them.
