Is there a Skill Cap on Pandora?
No. There is no Skill Cap on Pandora. This means every Character can train everything and max every Skill out to 125.
(Yes, on Pandora the maximum Skill Points in a Skill is 125. See below.)
Does this mean my Character can be a Dexxer, Mace Fighter, Tank, Mage and Tamer at the same time?
Yes. You can do everything with one and the same Character. These standard Pandorian Characters can use Melee Weapons, Ranged Weapons
and also cast Spells (Magery, Necromancy, Chivalry, Spellweaving, Mysticism).
We usually call these Characters "Hybrids", because they are a hybrid form between Fighters and Mages, generally.
But I'd like to play a Mage, is this possible?
This is possible. While the "normal" Character is a "Hybrid" (see above), it is possible to play a "Pure Mage":
A "Class" that fully relies on Spellcasting and therefore adjusts its Stats in a completely different way than a Hybrid. The super high
Intelligence gives these Pure Mages something that is called "Spell Penetration": A Direct Damage Bonus in PvP and PvM. This goes on top
of higher Spell Damage Increase and is an extra damage bonus the "normal" Hybrid Characters do not have.

What about other Caps?
Many Stats come without a Cap. While there is a total Stat Cap of 340 (Strength, Intelligence, Dexterity) this refers to your Base Stats, the
Stats without any items and bonuses. The individual Stats are uncapped when it comes to item bonuses and so on.
There is no cap on Hitpoints, Mana or Stamina. You can check all caps here: StatAndOtherCaps

What now?
After you downloaded UO Steam and Ultima Online you have to patch up your client:
Go to the location of your game (Example: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Ultima Online Classic) and doubleclick the UOPatcher.exe.
After it finished patching click Cancel.
Make sure your client is Run as Admin and perhaps also with the Windows XP Service Pack 3 compatibility: Go to the location of your client.exe (see above), rightclick it and enable both options by clicking Properties, Compatability.

How many Accounts am I allowed to have on Pandora?
You are allowed to have up to 3 Accounts per IP. If you are playing together with other people in one
household please contact the Staff (preferably King_Kon or NollKoll) and inform them about this. Then that's
no problem!
Accounts will not randomly be deleted. Inactive Accounts however might be deleted after some time. This is not
something that happens often or after just a short time. There is a system that compares your ingame time with
the Account Age - but this is a very very user friendly system:
One hour of game time (logged in Character) equals one year of inactivity.
Can I login and play more than one Character then?
Yes. You can login more than one Character on different Accounts. Of course actively playing more than one
Character the same time is not only technically tricky but also not allowed:
While you can have more than one Character in the game it is not allowed to do PvM on both Characters for example. As
you would be AFK on all Characters but the one you are currently looking at.
Of course you can - for example - play actively on one Character while the other Character is AFK-Mining with a Macro. This
is allowed!
So, Macros are allowed?
Yes. UO Steam-, Razor - or EasyUO Macros are allowed. For Harvesting, PvM and PvP.
Of course it is not allowed to be AFK while doing PvM. (Being AFK while doing PvP is just stupid and you'll die.)
But it is allowed to do AFK Macroing while Harvesting (Mining, Lumberjacking), doing certain Heartwood Quests or for example crafting
potions and so on.
What are the AFK Rules?
You are not allowed to do PvM while AFK or anything that directly gives you Gold.
If you are in the middle of a PvM situation and you have to go AFK urgently, then try to find a safe spot before you do. If
this is not possible, then atleast be fast. There is of course a tolerance for bathroom emergencies and similar stuff. And
of course if there was a specific situation in real life you can't control, this will be okay - as long as this doesn't happen
all the time.
Sometimes the Staff will take a hidden look around if people are breaking these rules. Also here and there are Anti AFK measures
in place, for example Lost Souls at Champion Spawns.
A Player is harrassing or insulting me - what can I do and how should I handle this?
If possible, remove yourself from the situation. Recall away, use a Moongate or simply move away and try to ignore this
person. Normally the Staff will not moderate these kinds of disputes. But if there is an actual violating of certain rules,
intolerable insulting and similar offenses, please contact the Staff, preferably King_Kon or NollKoll.
Getting killed in a PvP situation or simply by being in a Felucca Facet area is not considered to be harrassment! You can
leave the area or defend yourself. If you have the impression though, that a player is actively trying to cause grief, for example
by killing you multiple times over and over right after you resurrected, this can be called harrassment. In this case try to
contact the player and try to settle this. If this goes out of hand, please contact NollKoll.
I found a Bug and/or a possible exploit. How should I proceed?
If you find a Bug please post this in the Bug channel on Discord. If this is not possible, page ingame.
Before you post a Bug please make sure you did everything possible to check if this is really a Bug or if you perhaps missed a thing or
did anything wrong. This can always happen.
When posting the Bug please be as specific as possible, perhaps explain what you tried and how you tried. If the Bug is related to a specific area
please type [where ingame and use these coordinates to post your Bug on Discord. This makes it easier for the Staff to help you and fix the Bug.
Some Bugs are a possible way to exploit the game or the bugged mechanic itself:
In this case please post your Bug not in the Bug Channel but contact NollKoll via DM on Discord or send a page in the game. Please do not use this
exploit yourself and do not tell other players about it!
Using exploits knowingly can result in punishments.

What do I have to do to be able to log in on Pandora?
You have to fill in the blank forms on the main steam window:
First you browse or enter the path to your client.exe. Example: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Ultima Online Classic\client.exe
In the second blank form you browse or enter the path to your game folder. Example: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Ultima Online Classic
Check the box for „Remove Encryption“, uncheck the other boxes.
For „Shard“ enter: play.pandorauo.com and use the port 2593 on the right side.
Make sure your client.exe is running as administrator: Right click the client.exe in your game folder, click Properties, click Compatibility and enable „Run as Administrator“. If needed also enable the Compatibility Mode for Windows XP SP 3 in the same tab.

What can I do if I start the game via UO Steam but getting the „Out of memory“ error?
Download the program Large Address Aware (LAA). Start the program, then browse to your client.exe as described earlier. Click it. Open it.
Enable the checkbox in step two, click Save. You have to re-apply LAA each time after you patched your Client!
I have done everything as described, but I am unable to connect, stuck at Connecting, getting "not responding". What can I do?
Try to log in using the IP of the Server: 74.91.123.160
You can attempt to force a DNS cache update by opening Command Prompt and typing ipconfig /flushdns. Don't worry, this will not change
anything on your end or on your PC - it will only update your DNS cache and possibly enable you to log in.
If this doesn't work, please re-check all your settings, your internet connection and so on.

What commands I can use in the game?
These are a few useful commands:
[help = show available commands
[c = access the public global world chat
[mystats = shows you your stats geared and ungeared, also your gold and other infos
-ping = shows you your ping to the server (the lower the better)
[vote = to vote for Pandora on voting sites (will open a gump and you can click to open the sites in your browser): you can get up to 14 Voting Tokens per day to buy nice things
[pvpstats = view your current PvP Stats or stats of another player
[dailypvp = join the daily pvp tournament (it is safe, you don't lose anything)
[myhouses = view your houses and teleport to that house with gold in your backpack
What is the Toolbar?
The toolbar is useful if you need quick information or help.
How do I patch my Client?
Go to your game folder and find a file called UOPatch.exe or very similar. Double-click it to patch.
If it's finished, click CANCEL - your game is now patched.
If you are using LAA, you have to apply it again as described!
When do I have to patch my Client?
When there was an official Patch by the official Game you can patch your client.
Sometimes you can't see certain new items or deco, then you should patch. Also if the Staff
informs the players on Discord.
Some other issues you might have could also be fixed by a client patch, unless it is
a problem that currently only occurs on Pandora.
Do I have to patch my Client when Pandora patched?
If the server has been patched to the latest official version: yes.
If Pandora applied a customed Patch on its own then: no. Unless told
otherwise!
What is a full file check?
You can "Perform a Full File Check" when patching your Client. Just enable the checkbox after
starting the Patching process.
Sometimes this can help with issues as corrupted game files, missing files and so on.

Where and what is the Newbie Area (Insula)?
The place you first started is the Newbie Area called Insula. Here you find all kinds of things to get you started.
There are Training Creatures to train your combat and magic skills and areas for many of the required skills you want to train.
Where and what is the Newbie Dungeon?
In the northern area in Insula is a small white building. Enter it to get to the Newbie Dungeon.
There are monsters in seperate rooms, so you can kill them more or less safely in order to obtain Tokens, Gold and Imbuing Runes with lower intensities.
It is important to stay as long as possible in the Newbie Dungeon during your first few weeks on Pandora. It helps you getting stronger and prepare for the world outside.
What are those Imbuing Runes?
Normally you have to craft Imbuing Runes via the skill Imbuing (see below) but the runes you get in the Newbie Dungeon have lower intensities and you can apply them on your stuff without having to craft anything.
What else can I obtain there?
With your first earnings you can buy Statballs (to adjust your basic stats) and Skillbooks to set skills on GM (100).
You can also obtain better armor sets with 100% LRC (Lower Reagent Cost, so you don't need Reagents to cast spells) and 100% LTC (Lower Tithing Cost, so you don't need to spend gold on Tithing Points for using Chivalry Spells).
These armor sets also give you 60 in each resist.
What is the maximum Resists I can have?
The maximum resist is 70% each. Elves get a bonus of 5% on Energy Resist which sets the maximum to 75%.
Am I allowed to be AFK (Away from Keyboard) while training my stats and skills?
Yes. Unless you are fighting monsters.
How long can I stay in the Newbie Dungeon?
You can enter the Newbie Dungeon for the first 21 days (account age).
Reminder: The 21 days refers to the ACCOUNT AGE. It does NOT refer to the age of your player character.
You cannot create another character to continue playing in the Newbie Dungeon.
The dungeon will help you grow and get stronger, so it's highly advised to spend atleast some time down there.
Is there a Newbie Champion?
At the end of the Newbie Dungeon is a Newbie Champion Spawn. You have to kill the spawn to summon the Champion itself – kill it and get rewarded!
You can also team up with other Newbies to kill the spawn and champ. But be fair: If someone did all the work and summoned the champ do not steal his loot!
Wait... where did my Gold go?
Pandora uses the latest expansion Time of Legends:
This means your gold is not lost – it's stored in your bank account. You can check your gold by typing [mystats or type „balance“ close to a banker.
The gold is bound to your account, so any character on the same account can use this gold.
How do I trade Gold with this new system?
If you click another player and click „Trade“ a secure trade window will open. Only if both parties accept a trade it becomes legit.
To transfer gold click the 0 on your side of the trade window and type in the amount you want to give to the other player.
Trading itself works the same: Move the stuff to trade into your part of the trade window.
You can buy stuff from NPC Vendors without having gold in your backpack. It will be taken out of your bank account directly.
Can I lose my stuff?
As long as you are a Young Player you can't lose anything if you die.
So what about Insurance?
If you aren't Young you can lose your stuff when you die. To avoid this you have to insure all your items (gear, weapons, everything).
Click your character, click „Toggle Item Insurance“. In the menu enable the check box next to the items you want to insure.
At the top enable „Auto Reinsure“ (this will reinsure every item after your death, so you don't have to reinsure everything manually). Click OK to accept.
You pay the first Insurance Money.
The menu also shows you how much total Insurance you pay when you die.
If you insure your stuff while being [Young] you already pay Insurance – even when you can't lose anything.
What is Grab and are there Graboptions?
You can set up a Hotkey on UO Steam to grab items or do this manually. The command is: [grab.
Then you will grab everything you can from monster corpses and also get Trash Tokens (see below). You will grab everything and your backpack can become quite messy.
To avoid this you can enter the Graboptions by typing [graboptions. There you can filter stuff and set other things to priority and so on.
You can also obtain a Grab Bag via Donation or Vote Tokens. Everything you grab except Gold will go into this bag – you cannot lose the bag when you die.
Are there other places I can go as a Newbie?
Of course you can explore the world anytime – some places might be a bit dangerous for you though.
You can check out the Tomb of Kings in Ter Mur or the Solen Hive to get some good gold and items.
You can also try to do some of the Mini Champs or, if your gear is a bit better, try to do the Champion Barracoon in Dungeon Despise.
Is there also a New Player Boss besides the Newbie Champion?
Yes, you can find the "Lesser Incarnation of Shame" in the Dungeon Shame (Trammel).

Are Macros allowed on Pandora?
Yes.
Am I allowed to be AFK (Away from Keybord) while playing?
You are allowed to AFK harvest and craft – you are NOT allowed being AFK while collecting gold, doing PvM and similar stuff (see below).
This includes Champs, Void Pool and other mechanics (see below).
What other currencies than Gold are there?
There are:
Newbie Tokens (only usable as Young)
Pandora Bucks (Donation Currency)
Pandora Coins (from PCoin Monsters)
Oceanic Coins (from OCoin Monsters)
PvPCoins (for Battles, Field PvP)

What are Pandora Bucks?
Pandora Bucks (Pbucks) is the Donation Currency on Pandora. You can donate to the server and receive Pbucks on a rate of 1:1. You receive extra 10% Pbucks.
Remember Pandora is 100% free but Donations help the Server and its creators to continue their services and help pay for the dedicated server!

What are Pandora Coins?
Pandora Coins or Pcoins are obtainable by killing Pcoin Mobs that spawn all around in the world. There are some player libraries in the game that have Runes to their locations.
Also some Bosses can drop Pcoins. You can spend Pcoins in the Pcoin Store, go there via Moongate.

What are Oceanic Coins?
Oceanic Coins (Ocoins) are a currency you can obtain by killing Ocoin Monsters and certain Bosses. You can spend these coins at the Oceanic Coin Dock (go there via Moongate).

What are PvP Coins?
You can obtain PvPCoins by joining and winning fights in the DailyPvP, Battles or by doing Field PvP (PvP somewhere in the world).
You get one PvPCoin per Kill. You can spend those in the PvPCoin Store, reachable by Moongate.
What are Vote Tokens?
By typing [vote you can vote for the server and receive Vote Tokens that spawn in your backpack. You can vote 1 x per day and spend your tokens at Vote Token Vendors or Stones.
There is one for example in Insula next to the bank.
What are Trash Tokens?
You obtain trash tokens by setting this up in your [graboptions. You will trash junk items by grabbing corpses during spawns or just killing single monsters.
Once you have 1000 Tokens the points will reset until the next day. Spend your trash tokens at Trash Token Vendors.
Is there also a store to buy stuff for Gold, besides NPC and Player Vendors?
Yes, Pandora has a gold store where you can buy consumable stuff but also Decoration. You can reach it by going through the golden Moongate South of Luna Bank!
Can I place a House anywhere in the world?
There are specific places like in towns where you can't place houses. But there is plenty of space to do so.
How many Houses am I allowed to own?
10 Houses per account.
Do Houses decay?
You have to refresh your house by opening the doors and enter, by clicking the house sign or by staying logged in or it will start the decay cycle.
Once your House is Greatly Worn the next stage will be IDOC and it can fall anytime. You can buy Ageless House Deeds to prevent decay.
Can I place Houses in Luna?
Yes. Luna is the Player City and you can place Houses there if there is space. Most player vendors are found in Luna.
Can I connect multiple plots to one large plot?
Yes. You have to contact the staff to do so. It costs Pbucks.
What Races can I play on Pandora?
You can play Humans, Elves and Gargoyles. Each Race has different bonus abilities.

The best choice would either play an Elf or - if you want to - a Gargoyle. The human advantages
are less effective on a Server with almost no caps!
Can I change the Race of my Character?
Yes, you can. To change from Human to Elf you can do the Elven Heritage Quest, which is
described here: QuestGuide

PvM
What is PvM?
PvM means „Player versus Monster“ (also known as PvE, meaning „Player vs Environment“) and refers to all combat actions against server controlled creatures and NPC's.

Am I allowed to be AFK (Away from Keyboard) while doing PvM?
No, this is not allowed. But stepping away in case of an emergency or a fast bathroom/phone break is sometimes stuff you can't control.
If possible find a safe spot or be very very fast – staff will check on you from time to time.
Death, Karma, Fame
What happens if my character dies?
If your character dies then he is not dead permanently. You can ressurect yourself by going to a Healer who can revive you, double clicking an Ankh or a Corpse Stone.
What happens with my items, my gear and my stuff when I die?
Everything that is not Blessed (via Bless Deeds by Donation or from the Pcoin Store) or insured (via the Insurance Menu, see there) will be on your corpse.
Blessed and insured stuff will stay on you. You can go to your corpse and get the items back or use a Corpse Stone to transport your corpse to your location.
Remember that in Felucca players can loot your corpse and take your stuff that is not blessed or insured. Also some monsters can steal stuff from your corpse.
Corpses can decay, then everything in there is also lost.
What is Fame?
You can gain Fame by killing certain monsters that have Fame – based on your Fame your character's title changes.
You lose Fame when you die but you can gain it back by the described manner.
You can buy Fame Books in the Gold Store to maximize your Fame instantly.
What is Karma?
The higher your Karma the more „good“ you did. You gain Karma by killing evil monsters. You lose Karma by casting Necromancy Spells.
You need Karma to be more effective casting Chivalry Spells.
Based on your Karma your character's title changes.
You can buy Karma Books in the Gold Store to maximite your Karma instantly.
You also lose Karma when killing other players.
You can lock your Karma at an Ankh – this means it cannot raise but only get lower and lower. Useful if you wanna just concentrate on Necromancy and not Chivalry.

What kind of Weapons are there?
There are several weapons in Ultima Online and almost each weapon can be used in PvM (Player versus Monster) or PvP (Player versus Player). A detailed list you can find here in the UO Guide (external link):

What makes a weapon good for PvM? What about the Damage a weapon inflicts?
Besides the specific weapon abilities (see below) there are several factors that make a weapon "good" in different situations.
For PvM a must have is a Hammerpick for Melee Combat to use the Weapon Ability Armor Ignore on a monster.
If you want a Ranged Weapon with this ability you need a Composite Bow. Gargoyles use a Soul Glaive for Armor Ignore.
The higher the base damage of a weapon the more damage you will do with your attacks, but Armor Ignore ignores the physical resistance of a target, so the damage is higher.
The damage is also determined by your stats like Strength, also your weapon skills and related skills. An Exceptional weapon also gets a small damage bonus.
What makes a weapon good for PvP?
Almost any weapon can be used in PvP. The Hammerpick, Composite Bow and Soul Glaive for Gargoyles are must haves. But any other weapon also has its own advantages.
A Crossbow for example can mortal your enemy (see below), an Executioner's Axe can use Bleed Attack (see below) or a Cyclone (Gargyoles) can dismount your target.
What does the Damagetype mean?
On the visual display of your weapon, where you can also find the applied properties like Hit Effects or Leeches (see below) you also find the Damagetype of the weapon, meaning the elemental damage it does. For example: Cold 50% Poison 50%.
This shows which resists of your target will be triggered, in this case Cold and Poison Resist. 50% of the damage will go against the Cold Resist, the other % against the Poison Resist. If a weapon has 100% Fire Damage the Damage will go against the target's Fire Resists.
The Resists reduce the incoming damage before it gets subtracted from the target's health.
So the damage of my weapon is not the same like the Damagetype?
No, the damage stays the same, based on base damage, your stats and skills and only changes if you your stats and skills change.
But the damage always goes against your target's resists first.
So the Damagetype just tells you and your opponent which resists will be applied to reduce incoming damage.
This is important for you when you want to lower a target's resist or similar situations.
So keep in mind that the Damage of a weapon is always the same, the Damagetype just describes what kind of damage it is!
Does this Damagetype mechanic apply to PvM and PvP?
Yes. Also Monsters have resists. You can check them via Animal Lore. There are also certain monster types more vulnerable against certain Damagetypes.
Players usually have maxed resists of 70% per resist (Elves 75% on Energy Resist).
What if my weapon has Physical Damage?
There is the property Reflect Physical Damage (see below) which can be imbued on armor (see below). It will reflect physical damage.
So in PvP don't use weapons with physical damage!
What does Chaos Damage mean?
If a weapon has Chaos Damage it means it will apply a random elemental damagetype (including physical) with each hit.
I have a Quiver that has Damagetypes applied, what does this mean?
It means if you are using a Ranged Weapon the Quiver's Damagetypes overwrite the ones on your Ranged Weapon.
If the Quiver says „50% Cold 50% Poison“ and your Bow says something else it will apply Cold and Poison damage cause of the Quiver.
Can I change the Damagetypes on a Weapon?
Yes. You can obtain „Weapon Elemental Damage Deeds“ via Bulk Order Deeds. You will get random deeds that look like a white scroll.
Double click the deed and it will transform into an elemental damage deed. This can be anything from a 100% Fire Damage Deed to a Chaos Damage deed or a mix between elements.
Double click the deed and apply it on a weapon by targeting it and clicking again. The damagetype of the weapon will change into the one the deed displayed.
If you add another deed on the same weapon it will be overwritten again.
What does the Weapon Speed mean?
The faster a weapon the faster you can swing it / shoot. This means the lower the numbers the faster the weapon is. Combined with your own Swing Speed and your Swing Speed Increase you get your total Swing Speed – the lower the better (best is 1,00, means you swing or shoot one time per second).
The slower a weapon the higher the damage of the weapon is. This stays the same, even if you can swing a slow weapon with the best Swing Speed of 1,00.
Felucca, Trammel, PvP
Is there a Guide describing the several rules surrounding PvP?

What is PvP?
PvP means Player versus Player and refers to Players fighting each other. This can be in a consensual fight or a surprise attack by a player.
Can there be PvP everywhere?
No. Only in zones where PvP is possible and allowed.
What is Felucca?
The Felucca Facet works with the Felucca Ruleset. PvP is allowed in all Felucca Locations except towns.
The Felucca Map was the original UO map and covers many landmasses.
What is Trammel?
The Trammel Facet is a copy of the Felucca Facet and works with the Trammel Ruleset. There is no PvP allowed with one exception:
Criminals can be attacked anywhere except certain areas such as some towns like Luna. Once a Criminal is getting attacked he may obviously defend himself.
Can I get attacked in a town in Felucca?
You can legally get attacked in a Felucca Town if you are Criminal). If you attack a Blue Player in a Felucca Town that is in a guard zone you will be killed by the town guards.

You can check if an area is Fel by looking at the Moongate Options or your ingame cursor. If it is golden, you are in Trammel, if not you are in Felucca.

Are there also safe zones to casual PvP or train PvP?
Yes. You can enter the Casual PvP Arena via Moongate and it's completely safe. You don't lose anything.
Can I also practice PvP by Dueling?
Yes, you can duel other players in a safe area. You don't lose anything. Type „i wish to duel“ and target another player.
What is the Daily PvP Tournament?
The Daily PvP is a completely safe tournament to win and obtain PvP Coins. Type [dailypvp once it has been announced.
What are the Battles?
Battles are automatic PvP events like the Daily PvP but they are made for multiple fighters at the same time, like a free for all. The CTF is a team game, where two teams fight against each other.
You can join the Battle queue and check the timers with [Battles. Remember it is all safe and you don't lose anything if you die and lose – just points.

What is Imbuing?
Imbuing is a magical crafting skill that enables you to enhance your gear with magical properties to give you certain advantages.
These properties range from Regenerations and Increases to combat or magic related properties such as Hit Effects on weapons or Spell Damage Increase and many more.
How do I start Imbuing?
You might consider setting the skill with the Skill Book. To train Imbuing you need the required items and materials and use the skill or you train via Unravelling.
What is Unravelling?
Unravelling is a subskill of Imbuing that enables you to remove specific properties from items or unravel the complete item.
This is to obtain part of the materials that are used for the respective properties.
You need Rough Stones and a Rune Chisel from the Vendor at Royal City in Ter Mur.
How can I obtain Rough Stones?
You can get Rough Stones from any monster in Felucca, also Mini Champions, Mini Champion Spawns, several Bosses and creatures.
How do I imbue? What do I need?
You need to stand at a Soul Forge (House Soul Forge or a Public Soul Forge). Also you need Rough Stones and the materials required for the properties you want to imbue.
Gargoyles get a race bonus on Imbuing. If your character is a Human or Elf you can make a second character as your Imbuer.
What are those other materials I need?
There are plenty of required materials. You can obtain them from Bosses, Champs and Mini Champs also other monsters in the world.

Can my items be destroyed if I fail Imbuing?
No. If you fail, parts of the materials are lost but your items will not be destroyed.
You can raise your chances by standing in a house that is on Industrial Mode .
Only Unravelling will destroy the item and remove the property as described.
Is there a limit as to how many times or how many properties i can imbue an item with?
Yes. Each item (based on its type) has a maximum of so called Slots. Each Slot can take a rune, so each Slot can take one property.
This maximum can be raised via Tiering (see below).
What does the Equipment Rating mean?
If you hiver your mouse over your Character or other Player Characters you see an Equipment Rating. This is the total rating of
all individual Equipment Ratings currently worn. This Rating is the result of imbued and existinfg properties on your items. It only
tells you the intensity of everything and has no other effect on the game.
Item Tiers, Tiering, Experience, Slots
What is Tiering, what are Item Tiers?
Each of your items has a Tier, displayed at the bottom of the description. It starts at Tier 0 and can go up to a maximum of Tier 5.
What effect does a Tier Level have?
Each Tier Level (so 1 – 5) gives you one more Rune Slot on your items that can take a new imbued property.
You can check your total Tier Level simply by moving the mouse cursor on your character; the same way you can check other player's Tier Level.
The Rating just tells you the total intensity of all imbue properties.
So what does Experience mean?
While you are tiering all your items (that are not Tier 5) will gain experience points. You can see these displayed on your stuff as they raise.
After you reached a certain amount of experience an item will get its next Tier Level, then start over and so on until it reached Tier 5 and will no longer collect experience.
This means that the more stuff is Tier 5 the faster you can tier.
How do I tier my items and gear?
Each monster you kill gives your items experience, based on the monster's overall strength and Fame. The best way to tier your items is in Champion Spawns (see there).

What are the caps on Stats?

What is the best way to set my Stats (Strength Str, Dexterity Dex, Intelligence Int)?
When you are starting here your stats will probably be almost even but the more you are training, getting items and do some Imbuing you will get better stats.
If you are playing a classic Pandora character then he will most likely be a „Hybrid“, using weapons and magic.
You want your Str be of the highest value, followed by Dex and then Int:
Once you have your gear tiered, used all Stat Scrolls and probably also collected some artifacts use a Stat Ball and adjust your stats.
With all gear and items on you do this:
Set BASE Intelligence to 10; set TOTAL Dexterity (with all items on you) to 217 and put everything else on Strength!

How does Damage Increase (DI) work?
Damage Increase (DI) maximizes the damage you apply on a target with non magical melee or range attacks.
Certain skills, stats and abilities can raise your DI up to a cap (maximum) of 300%.
Of those 300% there is a maximum of 100% via items that have the property Damage Increase (either by imbuing or crafting or similar).
The 100% from items is included in the 300%.
Since you can imbue DI on Jewelry (25% per item) you have reached the item cap of 100%.
This means there is no need to apply DI on any other item than jewels; not on Talismans, Weapons or anything else.
What if a weapon has Damage Increase and perhaps even more than the item cap of 25%?
As described, the property on a weapon is useless and just takes a rune slot you could use for other properties (Imbuing). You can remove it. \\
Even when using an Exceptional Deed from the Donation Store: The Weapon will become Exceptional and you get a damage bonus,
it will also receive the property Damage Increase that can be removed (you don't lose the Exceptional).
How does Spell Damage Increase (SDI) work?
Spell Damage Increase (SDI) maximizes the damage you apply on a target with magical attacks (spells). There is no cap in PvM while in PvP it is capped at 90%. \\
So you can use as much as you want, but try atleast to reach the PvP Cap. Certain skills can give you a bonus on SDI.
How does Hit Chance Increase (HCI) work?
Hit Chance Increase is basically a bonus mechanic that helps you better hitting your target and works against the target's Defense Chance Increase.
Once you hit your target there is a calculation in place comparing your HCI and your opponent's DCI.
HCI can be lowered once hit by Hit Lower Attack, so in PvP it's recommended you have more HCI than the actual cap which is at 75%.
How does Defense Chance Increase (DCI) work?
Defense Chance Increase (DCI) is basically a bonus mechanic that helps you better defending against a target and works against the attacker's Hit Chance Increase.
Once the attacker hits you there is a calculation in place comparing your DCI and your opponent's HCI.
DCI can be lowered once hit by Hit Lower Defense, so in PvP it's recommended you have more DCI than the actual cap which is at 75%.
Also keep in mind that the DCI mechanics work a bit different than with HCI: \\
Once you get hit by Hit Lower Defense the % you lose on DCI is calculated with the total value of your DCI and not cap + overcap. So it is best to have as much DCI as possible!
DCI is also lowered once you use the Chivalry Spell Divine Fury.
How does Hit Lower Attack (HLA) work?
Hit Lower Attack lowers, once you successfully hit a target and it gets applied, your target's HCI for a short time.
How does Hit Lower Defense (HLD) work?
Hit Lower Defense (HLD) lowers, once you successfully hit a target and it gets applied, your target's DCI for a short time.
How do I trigger Hit Effects like HLA, HLD or Hit Fireball?
If those effects are applied on a weapon they have a % chance of getting triggered once you hit a target.
How do Life Leech, Mana Leech and Stamina Leech work?
Once you hit a target and the effects are getting triggered those will leech Life, Mana or Stamina based on a formula that includes the damage you applied on your opponent.
They will not directly leech from the opponent though.
How do Critical Hit and Resilience work?
If a Critical Hit applies (automatically) it gives you a damage bonus on your target but will be countered by Resilience.
How do Resists work?
Each Resist works against the respective damagetype of a weapon or spell. A weapon with 50% Cold and 50% Poison damage works against your target's cold and poison resists.
A fire based spell like Fireball works against your target's fire resist.
Ultimately resists reduce the damage you receive from a specific type of elemental damage, including physical damage.
Resists can be lowered by certain spells like Curse or Corpse Skin.
How does Reflect Physical Damage work?
Reflect Physical Damage reflects the physical damage you receive from an attacker.
Keep in mind that you first receive the full damage (minus protective measures like resists and similar) before you reflect the damage.
Also reflecting physical damage makes you become the aggressor in a fight.
How do other elemental reflects like for example Reflect Poison work?
They work the same way as Reflect Physical Damage, bound to their specific element of course.
How do Damage Eaters work?
Damage Eaters reduce the incoming damage you receive. A Damage Eater can work as an eater against all damagetypes or bound to a specific element, including physical damage.
Eaters of the same element stack up to a cap, eaters against all damagetypes do not stack with others.
If it is unclear which eater gets triggered then always the highest one that is in place will work.
Note: You get healed after the full damage has been applied.
How does Battle Lust work?
Battle Lust builds up a certain amount of damage you received to unload in a massive damage bonus.
How does Bane work?
Bane applies bonus physical damage on a target (PvM) once its hitpoints are reduced by 50% or more. The bonus damage gets higher from that point on.
Bane only works in PvM and only on Melee Weapons with the exception of a Heavy Crossbow you can get as a Void Pool Reward..
You can apply the property Bane by using „Essences of Bane“ you can get from the Peerless Boss Virtue Bane.
Collect five essences, combine them to one full essence, double click it, target your weapon and apply it.
How does Honor work?
If you invoke this virtue you can use it on a target that is on full health, only in PvM.
With each hit you get closer in achieving perfection and your damage gets higher with each hit.
How does Consecrate Weapon work?
The Chivalry Spell Consecrate Weapon makes you able to apply damage against your target's weakest resist.
How does Divine Fury work?
This Chivalry Spell raises your Swing Speed, HCI and the damage you deal (subject to the 100% item cap!) on a target but same time lowers your DCI.
You can use it to maximize your Stamina once it's lowered cause of incoming damage.
How does Enemy of One work?
Using the Chivalry Spell Enemy of One gives you a damage bonus against the first target you hit (PvM only) after casting. Other targets will get a damage bonus against you.
You can switch your target anytime and recast Enemy of One if you have to.
How do Slayers work?
Slayers give you a damage bonus against creatures that fit into the specific slayer category.
For example a Reptile Slayer gives you a damage bonus against Dragons but also Snakes or Lizardmen while a Dragon Slayer only works against Dragons and similar.

What are Weapon Abilities?
Each weapon has two special moves (Weapon Abilities) you can use. There is a Primary and Secondary Ability and they differ for each weapon and are differently combined.
You can combine weapon abilities and spells (one after the other) to achieve different effects and maximize your damage.

How do I set up Weapon Abilities, Bushido and Ninjitsu?
You can set up Hotkeys for weapon abilities in Steam or in your game. The same goes for Ninjitsu and Bushido.
How do I apply a Weapon Ability/Ninjitsu or Bushido Attack on a target?
You apply it by using your specific Hotkey for the Primary or Secondary Ability before hitting your target. Same goes for Bushido or Ninjitsu.
Can I combine a Spell and a Weapon Ability?
No. Once you activate one or the other a Spell or Ability will be deactivated. What counts is the last you activated via a Hotkey.
Ninjitsu and Bushido Attacks are considered to be spells but work only with a weapon.
What are effective Ninjitsu and Bushido Spells (Attacks)?
Effective in PvP are Death Strike, which applies a direct damage bonus after a few seconds, and Focus Attack, which gives you a higher chance of triggering Hit Effects and Lightning Strike, which gives you a damage bonus.
Also effective is Evasion, which makes you able to evade spells.
What are effective Weapon Abilities in PvM?
Armor Ignore is a very effective ability in PvM that maximizes your damage. This is why Hammerpicks (Melee) and Composite Bows (Ranged) are a must have.
Crushing Blow can also be very effective in combination with Consecrate Weapon, so is Concussion Blow.
In a spawn or champion spawn you have to use Whirlwind (set as a steam macro).
What are effective Weapon Abilities in PvP?
Basically every weapon ability can be useful in PvP, depending on the situation and your preferences.
You can combine certain abilities with spells to produce better effects and higher damage.

How do I cast spells?
You can set up Hotkeys for each Spell in UO Steam. There is also the option to set up a fast Bigheal or Miniheal.
Keep in mind that casting a spell will cancel out any activated weapon ability and vice versa!
What Spells are effective for PvP?
Basically every spell can be effective in PvP, based on the situation and your preferences. You can also combine specific spells to achieve high damage or prevent your opponent from casting himself, making him busy healing or removing Debuffs.
The most commonly used spells are: Poison, Curse, Weaken, Clumsy, Fireball, Harm, Explosion, Flame Strike, Lightning, Energy Bolt, Eagle Strike, Bombard, Paralyze, Sleep, Pain Strike, Evil Omen, Corpse Skin. There are many more spells, so this is just a basic list.
What is Soul Charge?
This item property protects you from damage: If Soul Charge is triggered the incoming damage is reduced and this amount will be added to your Mana (not beyond your maximum).
Soul Charge works either against all damagetypes or specific elements.
What is Resonance?
This item property protects you against a possible spell casting interruption cause of received damage and is bound to specific elements.
What is Casting Focus?
This property gives you a chance to avoid interruption because of incoming damage.
What is Calmful Mind?
This property protects you against interruption up to a specific amount of incoming damage.
What is a Pure Mage?
While Pandora is a no skill cap and almost no restrictioned server when it comes to character builds, we still have a Class besides the regular hybrid characters on Pandora: \\
Pure Mages.
Pure Mages are Mage characters that sacrifice a lot of Str and Dex in order to gain as much Int as possible (Int of 400 or more is not uncommon).
When building these characters you have to concentrate to boost your Int while keeping in mind to have enough Dex and Str to sustain in combat.
You need atleast 400 Int to achieve the maximum Spell Penetration.
So Pure Mages can achieve a maximum Spell Penetration. And what is that?
You need atleast 400 Int to achieve the maximum Spell Penetration of 15%. This means that after you applied damage with a spell you get a direct damage bonus of 15% (resists can't counter this damage). This makes Pure Mages extremely effective.
So what do I need to build a Pure Mage?
Except for the Stats (see above) that you can achieve in different ways (Training, Items, Imbuing) you need a Spellbook with a high Int Bonus and Bonus on Casting Focus, an Arrow Breaker Shield and possibly also a Calmness in Calamity Shield..
Also try to get items that give you bonus on SDI, Int, some with Dex and Str.
You can also add stats on clothing via Donation or Void Pool.
What is Reactive Paralyze and Ranged Parry Bonus, found on Arrow Breaker Shields?
Reactive Paralyze gives you the chance to auto paralyze your opponent if you parry the attack. Ranged Parry Bonus gives you a bonus on your attempt to parry an attack.

What is a Champion?
A Champion is a powerful Boss you have to defeat in order to receive gold and Powerscrolls and Champion Skulls.
What is a Champion Spawn?
In order to summon a Champion of a specific region you must kill its minions who spawn in masses and waves, before the actual Champion appears.
How do I activate a Champion Spawn?
You activate a spawn by using the Virtue Valor. Doubleclick the Hexagram on top of your Paperdoll, then target the skull on the Champion Altar and the spawn appears.
Is there a Newbie Champion?
Yes.
Is there another Champion I can try as a New Player?
Once your gear is a bit better you can try to do Barracoon in Dungeon Despise.
What is a Powerscroll?
A Powerscroll (PS) is a white magic scroll that can enhance the camp on a specific skill. You doubleclick it to use it, and you have to use them in order.
Infested Champions can drop a 125 PS. Keep in mind that this raises the cap and you still have to train up.
What is the Harrower?
The Harrower is a powerful Boss that has to be summoned by applying the different Champion Skulls on an Altar in the Star Room. It will open a gate.
Doubleclick it to get to the Dungeon where the Harrower spawned. He drops gold and Stat Scrolls.

What are Stat Scrolls?
These a white magical scrolls that enhance your stat cap much like PS do with skills.
An Infested Harrower can drop +35 Statscrolls while a normal Harrower can drop up to +30.
What is a Lost Soul?
Sometimes while doing a Champ Spawn you a Lost Soul will spawn.
If you move your mouse icon on the creature it will show you how to kill it – either cast the spell or type the words in game.
It will die instantly and drop Lost Soul Shards in your backpack.
The Lost Souls are an Anti AFK measure.
What can I do with Lost Soul Shards?
Via Moongate you can get to the Lost Soul Trader. There you can spend your Lost Soul Shards on several items.
Mini Champs and Mini Champ Spawns

What is a Mini Champ?
A Mini Champ or Renowned is a slightly more powerful version of an existing creature type. They can drop some Artifacts and Imbuing Materials.
What is a Mini Champ Spawn?
A bit similar to regular Champion Spawns you have to kill the Mini Champ Spawns in order to summon the Mini Champ. They also come in waves but are weaker than normal spawns.
How do I activate a Mini Champ Spawn?
There is no need to activate a Mini Champ Spawn as they are always active. Just start killing the spawn.
Where do I find Mini Champ Spawns?
You find them in the Stygian Abyss – one also in Ter Mur Lands.
Doom and Gauntlet
What is Doom?
Doom is a Dungeon. There you find Stealables and Puzzles. Also you can collect demon bones to turn them in in order to get a Golden Skull.

What is the Gauntlet?
The Gauntlet is part of Doom. To enter the Gauntlet you have to go the Bell, doubleclick it and give the Golden Skull to the appearing NPC.
The Gauntlet is the place to obtain some of the most valuable artifacts.
How do I run the Gauntlet?
You have to kill each Boss that spawns in one of the five rooms connected to the center area.
You enter a room via a teleporter next to the door. You cannot leave a room until the Boss(es) is/are dead.
After you killed the Bosses in each room atleast one Dark Father (depending on how many people are in there) will spawn; he is stronger than the other Bosses.
After he has been killed you can start over in the first room and go on as described.
So how do I get an Artifact then?
Each Boss has the chance to drop an artifact. While killing the Bosses and Dark Fathers you receive more and more hidden Doom Points.
Together with your Luck property this determines when you will receive a drop – this may take some time. Artifacts drop directly into your backpack!
If you are unhappy with an artifact you can turn it in at the NPC in the AFK Zone to get a bonus on your hidden points.
Once an Artifact drops for you, your Doompoints reset to zero and you start over.
Will my Doompoints reset when I leave the Gauntlet?
No. You will keep the points you collected. You don't start at zero points the next time – unless you left after an artifact dropped for you.
Treasures of Tokuno

What are the Treasures of Tokuno?
The Treasures of Tokuno (ToT) are an automatically starting event. You kill monsters in the specific area to get Minor Treasures of Tokuno. You can turn these in to get a Greater Treasure of Tokuno.
How do I see if the ToT Event is active?
You can check the Stones outside of the specific Dungeons or check for the green text in game that announces the activity. Every hour the system decides if the event is active or inactive. If it is inactive the stones are red; they are green when it is active – the same goes for the ingame announcement.
Where do I hunt for Treasures of Tokuno?
There are three Dungeons to go to:
Yomotsu Mines and Fandancer Dojo in Tokuno (Trammel), Ankh Dungeon (Felucca). You can reach all places via Moongate.
How exactly do I obtain Minor Treasures of Tokuno and Greater Treasures of Tokuno?
You obtain those by killing the monsters in these three locations. Based on a hidden point system and Luck minor ToT's drop into your pack.
Once you have 10 minors you can go to the NPC in Zento to turn them in. You will get a random Greater ToT. You can reach the place via Moongate.
Peerless Bosses, Named Bosses, Paragon
What is a Peerless Boss?
A Peerless Boss is a specific unique creature that is the only one of its kind. Peerless Bosses are strong and each one has unique abilities. You have to collect keys to enter the lairs of some Peerless Bosses.

What is a Treasure Map?
A Treasure Map is a map that shows you the location of a hidden treasure chest you can dig up if you find the exact spot where to look for it.
There are several different levels of Treasure Maps. The higher the level the bigger the treasures will be!
How do I get a Treasure Map?
A Treasure Map can drop off several monsters everywhere in the world.
How do I read a Treasure Map?
Open the map and compare it to maps on sertain websites until you find the spot closest to the marked location. Then go to the Lucky Lady Library in Luna and use the treasure map book there to get to the correct location (number).
Is there an easier way?
You can obtain „Davy Jones Locker“ that can store maps and give you the correct numbers!
What happens next? How do I dig up my treasure?
Go to the location with a shovel or pickaxe in your backpack. Oneclick the treasure map to open a menu.
There click „dig for treasure“ and point the cursor on the spot where you want to dig – if you don't start digging you are on the wrong location or your skill level (Mining) isn't high enough (the lower the more on point you have to dig).
Once the chest is completely visible a horde of monsters will appear – kill them.
How do I open the Chest?
With the skill Lockpicking and using lockpicks you can open the chest. Inside there is the treasure. Everytime you take one piece out of the chest new monster hordes appear.
I am finished, what now?
Oneclick the chest to make it disappear, so other players also have the chance to dig up this specific treasure!

Infestation
What is Infestation?
Infestation enables you to transform monsters, bosses and champs into stronger versions of themselves. Their stats get better and they do more damage.

Do Infested drop specific artifacts?

It is basically some kind of „tower defense“ while the tower in this case is the „Void pool“.

So how does this work?
If you enter the area the Void Pool will start automatically and you have to defend the pool from incoming monster waves that get stronger over time.
It is similar to a champ spawn but there is no final boss and the battle ends if the Void Pool has been destroyed by the enemy forces.
Do not leave the area once that happened until the Void Pool is destroyed or you don't get any points!
So where is the Void Pool?
It is in Dungeon Covetous (Level 2) in Felucca and Trammel.
What happens when the Battle ended and what do I get for this?
After the battle ended you will see a message telling you how many waves you killed and how many points you received.
What are those points I can get?
You get a Battle Score that is just something like a High Score list from other games. You can look at the scores and overall scores by oneclicking your character, then click Void Pool.
But you also receive Reward Points. With these points, based on how many waves you killed, you can buy stuff.
In Felucca you get more points per wave than in Trammel!
What are the Void Pool Rewards?
The Reward Points enable you to purchase stuff from Vela the Sorceress in Cove Trammel (via Moongate).
If you click Vela you can check your points and buy items such as Luck Deeds, Stat Deeds, special weapons, jewels and more! Points you don't spend will be saved. So you could also collect points and buy later.
How can I check when the next Void Pool will start or if it is running?
One click your character, then click Void Pool. On the menu it shows you if a battle is running (you can then click the current battle scoreboard to see who is there).
If it's not running, you see a timer that shows you the time in minutes until the next battle starts (timer on 0 means the battle will start any second, you have to hurry then or it will start over).
It is 60 minutes in Felucca (after the last battle ended) and a longer timer in Trammel (after the last battle ended).
Am I allowed to do the Void Pool AFK?
No.
Nemo Event
What is the Nemo Event?
The Nemo Event is a permanent Event, also suitable for New Players. Collect "Nemos" by killing Nemo Hunters in the area.
Where is the Nemo Event located?
You find the Event in Bucaneers Den Trammel. There is also a Moongate in Luna Bank!
Where do i turn in my Nemos?
In the South you will find a building with a Vendor Stone. Click the stone and purchase items with your Nemos!
